Players who can go unsold in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction: The thrill and excitement among the fans is getting overloaded as the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Mega Auction is just a day away. With less than 24 hours left for the mega event to take place, the players and franchise owners will be under enormous stress, but there will be tons of exciting things coming up for the fans and supporters of the IPL.

The IPL 2022 Mega Auction will get underway right at 11 AM on 12th and 13th February in Bangaluru.

All the ten IPL teams will lock horns against each other to construct a worthwhile squad for at least the next three years.

All this while, there has been a lot of buzz around the costliest players of the IPL 2022 mega auction, however, not many have talked about the probable players who might go unsold in the mega auction. In this article, we will take you through the probable list of players who can go unsold in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction.

Players who can go unsold in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction:

Kedar Jadhav:

Not long ago, Kedar Jadhav was a solid contender to solve everlasting team India’s middle-order puzzle, but the things aren’t the same now. Jadhav is nowhere near the Indian setup in any format since the 2019 ODI World Cup.

With very less game time, Jadhav’s form has taken a hit in recent times, which is considerable. Until now he has played for five IPL teams with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) being his last IPL team.

The cricketer has placed himself with a base price of INR 1 Crore for the mega auction. Kedar Jadhav is likely to go unsold in the upcoming IPL 2022 Mega Auction.

Team India’s test mainstay batsman, Cheteshwar Pujara also seems to be on similar lines. Pujara was featured for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL 2021 but didn’t get an opportunity to showcase his T20 skills.

Pujara’s name is widely synonymous with the traditional format of cricket. He is an excellent batsman in the tests, but his T20I abilities are yet to unfold.

It will be really hard for Pujara to get an IPL franchise in the 2022 auctions. Though he can be purchased at his base price, which is INR 50 Lakhs.

Ishant Sharma:

Senior pacer Ishant Sharma has been a part of the IPL for long 13 years, in which he featured for 6 different franchises. Despite being a gun pacer in the longest format of cricket, Ishant Sharma has failed big time to channelise his energy into the shortest formats.

Sharma has been with Delhi Capitals (DC) for the last four years, but his regular injuries have kept him out of the game. He is not a regular feature for DC and is likely to go unsold.

With the base price of INR 2 Crores, it will be really hard for the pacer to get into any IPL team at the initial phase.
