Team India’s stand-in vice-captain for the Test series against South Africa, KL Rahul, is going to be a crucial asset for India going ahead in the series. The opening combination puts up the foundation and is the most essential aspect of batting.

India’s win against England came due to the success of Indian openers (Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul). KL scored 315 runs in 4 matches at an average of 39.38. Moreover, he also smacked a century against England at Lord’s cricket ground.

KL Rahul will be paired up with his companion Mayank Agarwal, in Rohit’s absence. Both the openers will have a larger job to fulfil.

Further ahead, Virat will be running high on confidence to bring India’s first test series win in South Africa.
