Prithvi Shaw has represented the Indian cricket team in 5 test matches, 3 ODIs, and 1 T20I. The last game he played for the national team was in July of 2021 on the India tour of Sri Lanka, where Shikhar Dhawan was captain and it was essentially a second-string Indian team that was sent. He played his last test match at Adelaide in the historic 2019-2020 Border Gavaskar Trophy. With that being said, the Mumbaikar is looking to make a strong comeback to the national team. With the rotation policy in place, Prithvi is bound to get a chance if selected but will have to consistently perform to make his case stronger.
