Australian bowling all-rounder Andrew Tye is one of the most probable candidates who can be roped in by the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) as the replacement for Mark Wood.

Tye had a base price of INR 1 Crore for the mega auction, but he, unfortunately, couldn’t attract any buyers. The pacer has scalped a total of 40 wickets in his IPL career after playing in 27 matches. To highlight his best performance, Andrew Tye has won a purple cap during the IPL 2018 for Rajasthan Royals (RR).

The Aussie holds a knack for producing quiet overs during the death. He has been absolutely phenomenal in the Big Bash League (BBL) over the years. In the recently held BBL season, Tye scalped 19 wickets in 13 matches to help his side, Perth Scorchers win the tournament.

West Indies pacer Sheldon Cottrell, a couple of years ago, was one of the most targeted T20 bowlers by teams. The pacer had exceptional economy and picked timely wickets and impressed several experts and officials.

His downfall came when he played in the IPL 2020 for Punjab Kings. The pacer returned with expensive figures that certainly couldn’t justify his hefty price tag.

Nevertheless, he has improved since then a lot. He has been a consistent feature for West Indies in the shortest format and can be a decent choice for Lucknow to rope in as the replacement of Mark Wood.

Young Zimbabwe pacer Blessing Muzarabani is one of the most promising pacers to watch out for. Muzarabani signed up for the two-day mega auction of the Indian Premier League (IPL), but, unfortunately, couldn’t draw any interest from the franchises.

However, the tall pacer can feature in the Indian Premier Leauge (IPL) if he is called as a replacement.

Muzarabani played a key role in Multan Sultans PSL triumph in 2021 with 10 wickets in just six games. In the recently held PSL season, the Zimbabwe pacer managed to get five wickets from four matches at a decent economy and average.
