Punjab Kings are having a great time in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The Shreyas Iyer-led side registered their second straight win of the league after they beat Lucknow Super Giants by 8 wickets on Tuesday at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
Punjab Kings looked in superb touch with bat and ball as they registered their second win of the IPL 2025. The Shreyas Iyer-led side dominated the Lucknow Super Giants at their home ground and bagged two important points, bagging a place in the top half of the table.
Punjab Kings, under Shreyas Iyer, have looked extremely dominant, and they are one of the favourites to win the league. In the game against Lucknow Super Giants, they opted to field first and were right on the money with the ball as they restricted the opposition to a total of 171 runs on the board.
With the bat, opening batter Prabhsimran Singh (69) played a magical inning to take his team off to a flying start. Skipper Shreyas Iyer (52*), who walked out at three, played a valiant innings as well, slamming 84 runs for the second wicket that put Lucknow Super Giants under massive pressure.
Nehal Wadhera (43*) set the stage on fire in his maiden outing for Punjab Kings. He attacked Lucknow Super Giants bowlers and added an unbeaten 67 with skipper Shreyas Iyer to take his team home with eight wickets in hand.
While the on-field action was brilliant to watch, there was one of the battles off the field, in the stands, which caught the attention of many. One of the RCBs was there at the stadium, and as he came on the TV, he was seen celebrating wildly.
This didn't go well with the PBKS fan as he almost hit the person behind him. The video went viral on the internet with many coming up with hilarious reactions.
