Former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid has been appointed India’s senior men cricket team’s head coach by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on 3rd November. Dravid will take the charge of the Indian team from upcoming India’s home series against New Zealand.

The Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) comprising of Sulakshana Naik, RP Singh unanimously took the decision on Wednesday after Rahul Dravid officially applied for the role of head coach.

It is important to note that current team India’s head coach Ravi Shastri will move out of the team after the completion of the T20 World Cup 2021. Team India has two more group matches left on 5th and 8th November following which Sastri will quit his role.

Team India, though, hasn’t been able to fill the ICC trophy cabinet under Ravi Shastri, but the team certainly adopted a fearless and bold approach to play cricket. India dominated Australia in Australia twice in a row in test cricket, Virat and his men recently thrashed England in their own backyard and New Zealand was stunned by India by 5-0 in a T20I series under Ravi Shastri.
