Rajat Patidar shatters massive record of Sachin Tendulkar in IPL during RCB vs PBKS

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) skipper Rajat Patidar achieved a massive feat in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He surpassed great Sachin Tendulkar to become the batter with the second fastest to 1000 runs in the cash-rich league. 

Rajat Patidar achieved the feat during the game between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings. The 34th game of the league between the teams took place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday (18th April). 

Rajat Patidar played a decent hand of 28 runs for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the game against Punjab Kings. The right-hander was one of the key contributors for his team as he hit some magnificent shots, making sure his team put a fighting total on the board. 

During the course of his innings, Rajat Patidar also went past 1000 runs in the league. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper achieved the feat during his 30th innings in the tournament. Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar, on the other hand, took 31 innings to reach the landmark in the tournament. 

Rajat Patidar is behind Sai Sudharsan, who achieved the feat in the 25th innings. The Gujarat Titans batter got to a landmark last year. Patidar also became the third Indian player for RCB to reach 1000-plus runs in IPL after Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal. 

Rajat Patidar has been having a decent time as a skipper and batter in the league. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain is leading from the front and is making sure that he makes his first season as a skipper rememberable one in the league. 

The best thing is that he's been calm - Bhuvneshwar Kumar on Rajat Patidar 

Recently Bhuvneshwar Kumar talked about the experience of playing under Rajat Patidar, saying that the batter is very calm. He highlighted that the skipper remains the same even after the team loses the game. Speaking about the same, he said:

"He's been very good. The best thing is that he's been calm. That's what he needed, especially in this format. Because when you lose a match, the easy thing is to get panicked. And that's what he has done. We lost two matches, but he's been the same whether we won or we lost. So he's been handling everything very well. With the bowling changes and everything, he's been superb."
