Ranveer Singh, AR Rahman to perform in Tata IPL 2022 closing ceremony: Famous Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh along with music maestro AR Rahman have been roped in by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to perform in the closing ceremony of the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) season fifteen on May 29th, Sunday.
The final of the Tata IPL 2022 will be held between Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans (GT) and Sanju Samson-spearheaded Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad tomorrow.
The BCCI left no stone unturned to organise the tournament with top-notch safety standards for everyone involved in the process and now the final of the league is going to be much more special.
Ranveer Singh and AR Rahman will perform at the closing ceremony and set the stage on fire. Notably, Ranveer Singh was earlier seen supporting Mumbai Indians from the stands in Mumbai.
Jharkhand’s famous Chhau Dance will also be performed in the stadium. A ten-member team has been finalised to carry out the Chhau Dance during the closing ceremony.
High profile personalities such as BCCI President, BCCI secretary, former Indian cricketers etc will be attending the party in Ahmedabad.
If the reports are to be believed, the BCCI will also celebrate India’s 75 years of Independence during the closing ceremony of the biggest T20 extravaganza and the journey of Indian cricket all this while.
The BCCI hasn’t staged any closing ceremony of the Indian Premier League (IPL) since 2019 due to the havoc wreaked by the Covid-19.
