Ravi Ashwin likely to play County Matches before the England-India test series.
Team India’s ace spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is likely to play first-class county matches for Surrey before the beginning of the India vs England five matches test series if his work visa gets approved on time.
Ashwin has featured for Nottinghamshire and Worcestershire in the County matches in the past and has done invariably well for both the teams.
If the cricketer gets his work visa on time, he will be available for Surrey in the match against Somerset scheduled to be held at the Oval on July 11, where India versus England fourth test is scheduled.
It will be a good opportunity for the Indian tweaker to get good match practice in English soil against the quality opposition.
As per the various reports, Ashwin and Surrey both have had the conversation about the same and are confident to get all the formalities done in time for the match starting on July 11.

All the Indian cricketers are currently enjoying their time off in England after the tiring loss in the ICC World Test Championship.
Virat Kohli after the loss confessed the need for match practice and showed his displeasure for not allowing them for the same.
Team India, before the India-England five matches test series, will undergo a warm-up match against the county side picked of their choice.
England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed the development and stated that the Indian outfit will be given a warm-up match before the test series.
The visitors will regroup on July 14th to kickstart their preparation.
The India-England test series will also embark on the second cycle of the ICC World Test Championship 2021-2023.
