India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has issued a massive warning to the Australia team ahead of the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.

India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has issued a massive warning to the Australia team ahead of the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. He said that they need to win one game out of the two remaining and they will retain the trophy.

The Test series between India and Australia is levelled at 1-1. Both the teams displayed magnificent performances in the first three games, and the focus moves towards the fourth Test, which will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) from 26th December, which will be a Boxing Day match.

While it was India who registered a massive 295-run win in Perth, Australia fought back and won the next game in Adelaide by 10 wickets. The Gabba Test ended in a draw, and now the stage is all set for the most important match of the series, which will be a virtual series decider.

India hasn't lost a Boxing Day Test against Australia in the last 12 years, and it will be a massive opportunity for the team to win. If they manage to win the match, they will retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and also will inch one step closer to the final of the ICC World Test Championship final, which will be played next year.

Even if we win one match out of the next two, we will retain the series - Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja, who attended the short press conference, admitted that they are in a good position. But he also was quick to quip that if they win even one game, they will retain the series. He is confident that they will complete a hat-trick of wins in Australia. Speaking to reporters, he explained:

"We are in a good position, after three matches, it's still 1-1. It is going to be interesting. Even if we win one match out of the next two, we will retain the series because we have won the last two times here.

"It's a good opportunity to push ourselves and do well in Melbourne. Yes, we will worry about the last match later, the focus now is on the Boxing Day Test. It's a crucial game for us."

Ravindra Jadeja will be extremely important for India going into the last two games of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The all-rounder played a vital role for India in the last match, where he made a comeback and played a magnificent innings of 77 runs with the bat.
