Ravindra Jadeja ruled out of T20 World Cup 2022 after missing remainder of Asia Cup 2022: India’s senior all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is set to miss the all-important T20 World Cup 2022 after getting ruled out of the remainder of the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 due to a right knee injury.

Ravindra Jadeja will undergo a major knee surgery which will keep him away from cricket for an indefinite period of time.

As per the BCCI official, Jadeja’s injury is severe and it’s hard to pen down a timeline for his recovery.

“Jadeja’s right knee injury is pretty serious. He is supposed to undergo a major knee surgery and will be out of action for an indefinite period of time. At this point, if one goes by the assessment of the NCA’s medical team, one can’t put a timeline on his imminent international comeback,” a senior BCCI official was quoted as saying by PTI.

However, to make the prediction on the safer side, Jadeja’s injury will take at least three months of time to come back to normal.

The all-rounder’s absence will be a big blow for Rohit Sharma-led India as he provides much-needed balance to the side. Jadeja is currently India’s most consistent all-rounder.

It has been reported that Jadeja’s knee injury concerns have been for around a year now. Due to this Jadeja has transformed himself more into a batting all-rounder lately with his left-arm spin becoming a secondary weapon.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced Axar Patel as his replacement for the remainder of the Asia CUp 2022.
