RCB vs PBKS: 3 Punjab Kings players who have played for RCB before ft. Yuzvendra Chahal

RCB vs PBKS: RCB, under their new skipper Rajat Patidar, have been doing stunningly well at several venues across India, with a record win against MI at Wankhede, KKR at the Eden Gardens, and CSK at Chidambaram Stadium.

Having lost two games on their home ground, they would look to bounce back in the upcoming fixture, but RCB batting first has been a major concern for them, while Punjab Kings, too, would be high on morale after their famous win in the last game, where they defended a minor score of 111.

Also, the likes of many bowlers, like Yuzvendra Chahal, the highest wicket-taker in the history of the IPL, returned to some commanding form in the last game, where he picked 4 vital wickets that changed the course of the game. Chahal’s return to form and then return to the Chinnaswamy will be a huge event, as he remains the highest wicket-taker at this venue. PBKS might find Chahal’s association with RCB to their advantage.

RCB vs PBKS: Punjab Kings Players who starred for RCB earlier

RCB vs PBKS Star Players

1. Yuzvendra Chahal

The expert spinner who has been a star of leg-spin has immense experience bowling in the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Chahal contributed to many wins for RCB at this venue but will be playing against this opposition this time around.

Chahal picked the most wickets on this venue, as he will be Punjab’s lead bowler and marquee man on this ground, to fancy their chances better. Chahal has starred from 2014 to 2021 for RCB in the IPL.

2. Glenn Maxwell

Glenn Maxwell, the Australian all-rounder, began his career largely with the Punjab Kings and went on to play for the Delhi Capitals and the Royal Challengers Bangalore as well. He has returned to the PBKS squad under their new coach, Ricky Ponting.

Maxwell played for RCB for 4 seasons between 2021 to 2024, and now, after a disappointing season in the 2024 IPL, he has been released by his former side and found a new bidder in the Punjab Kings.

3. Vijaykumar Vyshak

The medium pacer from Karnataka has excelled in the shorter format and hence was picked by the Punjab Kings for the upcoming season. Vyshak has starred in only one game this season, but he has played in RCB for two seasons, in 2023 and 2024, and was of great use to the Challengers in both seasons. He will be an invaluable asset if PBKS brings him in for the game at Chinnaswamy.

The likes of Marcus Stoinis and Lockie Ferguson have also played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. For Stoinis, it was much back before being picked by LSG, while Ferguson was part of the RCB squad in IPL 2024; he was picked in IPL 2025 by the Punjab Kings, but after playing 3 games, he has now been ruled out owing to his injury
