Revealed - Full list of award winners at the BCCI annual awards; Jasprit Bumrah to get major honour, no reward for Rohit, Kohli
India Cricket Team fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will be getting the Men's Cricketer of the Year award during the BCCI annual awards. The BCCI Naman Annual Awards are all set to take place in Mumbai on Saturday (1st February).
Jasprit Bumrah will be receiving the prestigious award because of his exceptional performance with the ball in 2024. He was Player of the Tournament in the T20 World Cup 2024, where he picked up 15 wickets, and also was the leading wicket-taker in Tests with 71 wickets to his name.
Another holder of the major award will be India Women's cricketer Smriti Mandhana, who will be getting the BCCI's Women's Cricketer of the Year award. The opening batter was at her best with the bat as she mustered over 700 runs in ODIs in 2024 and was the leading run-getter for the team.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also will be honouring Ravichandran Ashwin with a special award. The off-spinner recently retired from international cricket and ended his career as one of the best players for the India Cricket Team.
The best debut of the year award will be going to India batter Sarfaraz Khan for his heroics in his maiden game for India. He played his first match against England in the Test series and slammed a terrific half-century, and following that, he has been a consistent member of the team. Batting great Sachin Tendulkar will be presented with the lifetime achievement award for his contributions.
