The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) came up with the massive award for India National Cricket Team for winning the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The governing body came up with a cash prize of INR 58 crore for their magnificent effort in the tournament. 

The India National Cricket Team, under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, came up with a staggering effort in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The Men in Blue came were spot on with their performances with bat and ball as they dominated the entire tournament. 

India played all their games at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. They started their campaign with a six-wicket win over Bangladesh. After that. They beat Pakistan by 6 wickets before completing a 44-run victory over New Zealand. 

India then faced Australia in the semi-final, and they came up with a brilliant effort. The Rohit Sharma-led won the game by four wickets to book their berth in the final. Their final showdown was against New Zealand, which they won as well. 

BCCI, following the win, announced the massive cash price for the players. But since then, there has been a lot of speculation about how much players, in particular Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, will be getting out of the cash price of INR 58 crore.

However, it has now been revealed. As per the reports in Times of India, it is learned that each player of the squad will be getting INR 3 crore. Head coach Gautam Gambhir will receive INR 3 crore, while members of the support staff will be getting INR 50 lakh each. 

Breakdown of INR 58 crores of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 victory 

Players - 3 Crores each.

Head Coach - 3 Crores each.

Support Staffs - 50 Lakhs each.

While announcing the award BCCI president Roger Binny said that winning back-to-back ICC titles is special and the award is recognition of the hard work. Speaking in an official release, he said:

“Winning back-to-back ICC titles is special and this reward recognizes Team India’s dedication and excellence on the global stage. The cash award is a recognition of the hard work that everyone puts in behind the scenes. 

"This was also our second ICC Trophy in 2025, following the ICC U19 Women’s World Cup triumph and it highlights the strong cricketing ecosystem in place in our country.”
