Revealed- Why India won't be having a victory parade for ICC Champions Trophy 2025
India National Cricket Team brought smiles on the faces of 1.4 billion people on Sunday (9th March) after they beat New Zealand in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The Rohit Sharma-led side lifted their third Champions Trophy at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
India was extremely sensational right throughout the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, they won the title undefeated. The Men in Blue won all their league games, along with the semi-final and final, to lift the Champions Trophy title for the first time after 2013.
India was right on the money with bat and ball in the games that they played. The batting and bowling peaked at the right time. The Rohit Sharma-led side dominated the opposition in all the games, and after winning the ICC T20 World 2024 undefeated, they did the same in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
With India winning the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, it was also expected that the Rohit Sharma-led side will be having the same victory parade as they did after winning the T20 World Cup 2024. But to the disappointment of fans, there won't be any victory parade this time around.
India won't be doing the parade because of the less time gap between the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025
The reason behind India not having a victory parade, however, now has been revealed. As per the media reports, it is learned that the Rohit Sharma-led won't be doing the parade because of the less time gap between the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
The IPL 2025 is all set to begin from 22nd March and India players have demanded some time off to rejuvenate themselves before the league. The league will be played over two months, and if there is a victory parade, it will be a massive headache for the players.
The Indian players have started arriving in India after the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The team hasn't travelled back together and instead, players are back with their families and they will be spending time at home before joining their respective IPL teams.
