India National Cricket Team head coach Gautam Gambhir has opened up about his relationship with skipper Rohit Sharma. He said that they share a fabulous relationship, saying that the captain is a great, great guy, which is why he has turned into a good leader. 

In the last few months, there has been a lot of talk about the relationship between Rohit Sharma and Gautam Gambhir. Ever since the head coach has taken over the role, things haven't looked in the team, barring the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025, where India will be playing the final against New Zealand. 

Of late, there have been a lot of reports which has suggested that skipper Rohit Sharma and Gautam Gambhir are facing a lot of issues over the squad selection and XI selection. It was learned that they were involved in a lot of arguments as well, and hence, the team didn't perform in ODIs and Tests. 

The reports of their poor relationship emerged during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, where India suffered a 4-1 loss. It was learned that Gautam Gambhir didn't want Rohit Sharma to continue as captain in Tests and even dropped him from the last game in Sydney.

However, Gautam Gambhir has broken silence on his relationship with Rohit Sharma. He said that he has a great bond with the captain of the team. He stressed that his nature as a human has turned him into a good leader. 

"I have a fabulous relationship with Rohit Sharma - he is just a great guy and that is something important, if you are a good human being, you end up becoming a good leader," said Gautam Gambhir. 

Rohit Sharma and Gautam Gambhir have looked in a joyous mood in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The happy dressing room is the key team's success in the tournament. The India National Cricket Team are undefeated in the tournament and would be keen to win the final as well.
