Rishabh Pant's future with LSG decided after poor IPL 2025
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper Rishabh Pant has come under massive scanner after his poor performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The keeper-batter had a forgettable campaign and this was one of the main reasons behind the poor performance of the team.
Rishabh Pant has been having a tough season as a captain as well as the batter for Lucknow Super Giants. The keeper-batter has looked worse than a tailender and has been a walking wicket for all the teams so far in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
Rishabh Pant was brought by Lucknow Super Giants for INR 27 crore, hasn't justified his price tag, and has been criticised a lot by the fans. He has managed only fifty in the tournament, and that, too, came at a slow strike rate, which speaks a lot about his struggle.
Rishabh Pant's poor performance in the IPL 2025 has raised a lot of doubts over his place in the team next year. With Lucknow Super Giants skipper bagging a contract of INR 27 crore, many have raised calls to remove him from the team for the next edition.

But as per the reports in RevSportz, it is learned that Lucknow Super Giants are all set to return Rishabh Pant for next year. The reports claimed that they will keep him for 2026 at least, as they will look at 2025 as one off-season.
The report claimed: "LSG will want to continue with him for one more season in 2026 at least. They will look at the current season as a one-off aberration."
In the ongoing IPL 2025, Rishabh Pant has slammed 135 runs in 12 matches with a strike rate of 100 and an average of 12.27. In the last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, the keeper-batter scored just 7 runs off 6 balls as Lucknow Super Giants got eliminated from the tournament.
