Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has been the backbone of the Indian cricket team for the last decade. The right-hander has already been amongst the greats of the game as he has played many famous knocks for the team and has guided them to victory. 

Ever since Rohit started opening in 2013 he has looked a class apart and is currently the best opening batter going around in the world of cricket. Being the only batter with three ODI double tons, the 35-year-old has taken Indian Cricket to massive heights in world cricket. 

Not only in the ODIs, but Rohit has also been the lynchpin of the Indian lineup in Tests and T20Is as well. Being among the highest run-getters in the shortest format of the game, the senior opener has the most tons in the format. He also holds the record for the fastest century in the shortest format of the game when he smashed a hundred in just 35 balls.

Apart from the white-ball formats, Rohit Sharma has developed himself into a seasoned Test batter. He was promoted to open the innings in 2019 and since then he hasn’t looked back. He is the leading run-scorer for his side in the history of the World Test Championship and has played some famous knocks for his team.

Rohit Sharma has played a great role in making the Indian team a dominant force in World cricket. He’s arguably considered the best opener to have played the game. Recently during the launch of his cricket academy in the USA, he was asked about the best moments in his career. 

He picked the 2007 World Cup win, his debut Test hundred against West Indies, Gabba Test win in 2021, his century stand with great Sachin Tendulkar and his innings of 264 runs in an ODI. He also Champions Trophy in 2013 but didn’t make that
