India vs England T20Is: Team India’s limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma wants the dashing all-rounder Hardik Pandya to pick up his all-rounder’s role in the forthcoming T20I series against England. It is worth noting, Pandya returned to the International circuit last year with IPL 2020 however, he only provided his batting services.

Hardik Pandya in October 2019, went for back surgery after sustaining an injury. Even though he returned to the cricketing field, but the cricketer didn’t bowl. In the last Australia tour, in 3 ODIs and as many T20I games, Pandya bowled only once.

However, Rohit Sharma now feels that he needs to pick up his genuine game after seeing him do everything possible to come back to his best form.

“Of course he’s been an integral part of the squad. He is been working on his bowling and batting, trying to sharpen those skillset. It’s been good month and a half that he’s been with the team in order to get ready for this limited series,” Rohit said ahead of the first T20 on Friday.

“He’s done pretty much everything so it seems that time has come for him to get ready and start doing what he does.

“He’s worked hard for his bowling and batting in this last few weeks. I hope he’s ready to do what the team expects from him.”

Wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant will be making his comeback to the limited-overs side after getting dropped in the previous Australia tour. Exploiting the conditions in the test format, Pant allowed his bat to do the talking with the critics and bounced back to the T20I side.

“Rishabh Pant has done tremendously well in the previous two-test series. He will go up and higher from here. There is no looking back for him right now.”

“I don’t see anything pulling back Rishabh Pant down unless you guys do it by putting him under pressure when he fails one or two odd times. The best part about his recent games is, he started to understand the situations and adapt according to it.”

Pant fired up in the most important games for India in the last two test series. First in Australia and the same skill display in England to win the last test game by a margin of an innings and 25 runs.
