Rohit doesn’t want to take chances, BCCI official:
“Until the head Physio doesn’t give a green signal, no one can undergo a high-intensity fitness test. But if he is doing his rehab for his lower body, at the same time he can work on his upper body’s conditioning and shed some kilograms of weight. A lighter upper body will ensure he does not put much pressure and effect on the lower dodgy hamstring,” a BCCI source to TOI.
“Rohit this time doesn’t want to take a single chance. He is very conscious about his fitness levels. He has been in and out due to injuries in the last year. After which lockdown happened, he went on to perform his IPL duties. He has been on road for two years non-stop, which didn’t let him work on his fitness. However, this time he wants to regain perfect shape and want to be fully fit. To play non stop cricket next year, he doesn’t want to take any chances,” said BCCI officials.
The dashing opener, Rohit Sharma was seen performing his duties in the business end of the Indian T20 League, even though he was declared unfit for the Australian tour by BCCI.
