The IPL franchises have been given a certain set of rules to follow for the TATA IPL 2022 Mega Auction. The IPL Auction is set to take place in a bio-secure bubble. For this, the norms and rules are strict to be followed by the managing members of all the 10 franchises in the IPL. The auction will take place on the 12^th and 13^th of February in Bengaluru. Rules to be Followed for Bio-Secure Bubble at IPL Auction:

The TATA IPL 2022 Mega Auction will take place in a bio-secure bubble.
3 RT-PCR Covid Tests will be done on the 9^th,10^th, and 11^th. If all 3 tests are negative, the management members will be cleared for bidding.
The RT-PCR Tests will be done by a BCCI accredited diagnostic agency.
Management members who have been travelling overseas will have to first undergo a 7-Day quarantine program. Then they have to test negative for the last two days. I.e., 9^th and 10^th.
The BCCI Medical Team will keep a close watch on all the management members and ensure all rules to be followed are maintained.
The rules to be followed also include a track of the symptoms of the management members.
The tests will be conducted for 3 days between 12am to 7am to ensure smooth conduct of the auction.
The participants will have to maintain transparency with regards to their RT-PCR results with the BCCI officials.

TATA IPL 2022 Mega Auction Rules:

The purse of the teams was increased to 90 Crores from 80 Crores. Season after season, this amount keeps incrementing by a value of 10 Crores.

The BCCI will also have an E-Auction for the media rights of the IPL. Several big broadcasting players will enter the auction.

Viacom 18, Star TV Network, Zee TV Network, and Sony TV Network are going to be the top bidders. It was also noticed that Zee and Sony may ally to counter the biddings of Star TV and Viacom 18.
