Sanjay Manjrekar destroys Virat Kohli once again over his strike rate in IPL 2025

Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar took a subtle dig at Virat Kohli after the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The two teams locked horns with each other at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. 

Cricketer-turned-commentator Sanjay Manjrekar has been leaving no stone unturned in taking a dig at some of the senior cricketers in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The former player recently took a dig at Virat Kohli and Sai Sudharsan over their strike rate. 

Sanjay Manjrekar shared his list of best batters in the league. He named players with strike rate over 150, excluding Virat Kohli and Sai Sudharsan, who are the top two leading run-getters in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. 

After that, he faced a lot of criticism, but it didn't stop him from taking a dig at Virat Kohli once again. After Punjab Kings openers in Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh came up with the magical effort with the bat, he pointed out their strike rates as well, taking dig at senior batter.

Talking about that, Sanjay Manjrekar said that the batting of Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh against Kolkata Knight Riders. He said that the duo outperformed earlier-generation big-name batters, and their forte is T20s. Taking to his Twitter account, he said:

"Priyansh Arya 69(35) Prabhsimran 83(49), last night v KKR. Yet another instance of new age batters outperforming earlier generation big-name batters. T20s is their game!" 

Prabhsimran Singh was the top run-getter for his team as he played an innings of 83 runs off 49 balls, hitting six fours and six sixes. While Priyansh Arya ended with an innings of 69 runs off 35, slamming eight boundaries and four sixes. However, the match couldn't take place completely as it was washed out.
