Rajasthan Royals (RR) have received a massive boost ahead of the IPL 2025. Skipper Sanju Samson has been declared fit to take part in the league but there he hasn't got any clearance related to if he can keep wickets in the upcoming edition of the cash-rich league.
Sanju Samson faced an injury on his right index finger during the T20I series against England. The keeper-batter underwent surgery for the same immediately after the series and, after that, has been undergoing rehabilitation at the new National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.
Sanju Samson, as per the reports in Cricbuzz, is likely to be released soon from the NCA and will be joining the Rajasthan Royals soon. The skipper of the franchise has cleared the fitness test for his batting but is still under the scrutiny of the NCA medical team for his wicketkeeping.

Sanju Samson hasn't looked in great touch with the bat. The keeper-batter failed in the entire T20I series as he failed to score big in the five games that he played. He was troubled a lot by the pace of English bowlers in Jofra Archer and Mark Wood, who targeted him with short balls.
Sanju Samson, ahead of the England series, looked in terrific touch. He was promoted to open the innings and he did a brilliant job. He slammed three centuries in 2024 and would be keen to replicate the same heroics in the upcoming IPL 2025.
Sanju Samson is expected to open the innings for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2025. The winners of the opening edition of the league will be opening their campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on on March 23.
