Sanju Samson Wants The BCCI To Scrap This Massive IPL Rule

Sanju Samson, Rajasthan Royals new captain, wants to change some rules in IPL 2025. After losing Jos Buttler, who is one of his close friends, and former Rajasthan Royals wicketkeeper and opener, in IPL 2025 auction, Buttler is moving out for the Gujarat Titans.

Rajasthan Royals retained Samson, Ryan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shimron Hetmyer ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction which meant they had no slot to retain Buttler, who will now play for Gujarat Titans in the upcoming season starting March 22.

He said, 'When I became the captain, he was my vice-captain and he played a big role in leading the team. Even during the England series, I told them over dinner that I still haven't gotten over it. If I can change one thing in the IPL, I will change the rule of releasing the players.

Sanju Samson remembered the time when he played under the captaincy of Jos Buttler. He said that the relationship with Jos Buttler is very deep. Sanju Samson said that Jos Buttler is one of my closest friends. We played together for almost 7 years; we made a good and memorable partnership. We know each other very well. Also, we are often in touch. Jos Buttler is like a big brother for me. Let's say that Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler have been playing for Rajasthan Royals for a long time. Both of them played for Rajasthan together for about 7 years. But now Jos Buttler is a part of the Gujarat Titans.

Samson also talked about the effect of keeping key players like Jurel, Parag, and Hetmyer. He said, 'Of course, it plays a big role. Being part of the team first makes for a great connection. This makes my job easier because we know each other well, l both on and off the field, and it helps the team coordinate better.
