In a surprise announcement, Mumbai Indians (MI) have revealed that their star batsman Rohit to miss first few matches of the IPL 2023 season due to workload management. This means the talented Suryakumar Yadav will take on the captaincy for the team in Rohit’s absence.
Rohit Sharma, who has led MI to win five IPL titles, is considered one of the best captains in IPL History. His absence in the early matches is undoubtedly a blow to the team, but it also presents an opportunity for Rajat Ratidar to show his leadership skills.

Suryakumar Yadav has been part of the MI team for several seasons, and his performances with the bat have been consistently impressive. The 31-year-old is a versatile batsman who can play a variety of shots, making him a valuable asset to any team. In the last season of IPL, Suryakumar Yadav scored 424 runs in 15 matches with an impressive strike rate of 145.61.
