Shocking! Pakistan's squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 gets revealed without an official announcement
The Pakistan Cricket Team has kept many waiting ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This is because the Mohammad Rizwan-led side has yet to name the squad for the tournament, while the rest of the teams have already announced the team for the event.
Amid all the fuss, a report in Pakistan media has revealed that the squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Mohammad Rizwan will be captaining the team, while Fakhar Zaman, who was nowhere near the scenes, also has been included in the team for the event.
As per the reports, there is no place for Saim Ayub due to the injury he sustained during the Test series against South Africa. The batting department will be boosted by Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Tayyab Tahir, Kamran Ghulam and Saud Shakeel.
Salman Agha, along with Aamer Jamal, are the two all-rounders that Pakistan reportedly has picked for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Youngsters in Khushdil Shah and Usman Khan also have made the cut into the team for the eight-nation tournament.
The fast bowling department comprises Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf. However, there is expected to be a tussle between the fourth pacer in Abbas Afridi and Hasnain Khan. The official confirmation will be soon made by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Pakistan are the defending champions of the ICC Champions Trophy after they defeated India in the final of the 2017 edition. The 2025 edition of the tournament is all set to take place from 19th February, with Pakistan playing the opening match of the tournament with New Zealand.
