Shocking! PCB sends legal notice to Mumbai Indians' bowler for playing in IPL 2025
South Africa all-rounder Corbin Bosch has come under massive scanner. The fast bowler has received a legal notice from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for breaching the code of conduct and then going on to sign a deal in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
Corbin Bosch was all set to feature in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025. The all-rounder was acquired by the Peshawar Zalmi but the South African player pulled out of the league. This was because he signed a deal in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Corbin Bosch was acquired by Mumbai Indians after Lizaad Williams was ruled out of the tournament due to injury. The all-rounder gave a shock to Peshawar Zalmi as he picked playing in the IPL over the PSL. This, however, didn't go well with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The legal notice was served through his agent, and the player has been asked to justify his actions - PCB statement on Corbin Bosch
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued a legal notice to Corbin Bosch. The governing body released an official statement, saying that the all-rounder has been asked to justify his actions of withdrawing from the contract. The statement read:
"The legal notice was served through his agent, and the player has been asked to justify his actions of withdrawing from his professional and contractual commitments," the Pakistan Cricket Board stated in a release on Sunday.
"The PCB management has also outlined the repercussions of his departure from the league and expects his response within the stipulated time frame. The PCB will not make any further comments on the matter."
The legal notice surely will bother Corbin Bosch. The all-rounder has risen a lot in ranks of late. He made his debut for the team across formats. His numbers in T20s are decent as well as he has taken 59 wickets and has recorded a highest score of 81 with the bat.
