Shreyas Iyer Has Been Ruled Out Of India’s ODI Series Against Australia: Shreyas Iyer will not be able to play in India’s upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia because he has a lower-back problem that has come back. This was announced by fielding coach T Dilip on Wednesday.

It was formally announced on Wednesday by India fielding coach T Dilip that middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer would not be participating in the next three-match ODI series against Australia, which will begin on Friday. This is due to the recurrence of an injury to Iyer’s lower back. The news that Iyer will no longer be available for one-day international flights was initially published by PTI on March 11. It has come to our attention that the fashionable Mumbaikar playing for KKR at any point during the lucrative Indian Premier League (IPL) is an extremely remote possibility. Shreyas Iyer is the captain of KKR in the IPL.

He is presently back in NCA for rigorous rehabilitation, although it has not been clear if he, like Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna, will need surgery.

“Injuries are unavoidable in sports”. He said they have excellent medical facilities that are well-equipped. They are working together with the NCA. Shreyas has ruled himself out of this series. They will be able to offer further updates as they become available. T. Dilip, India’s fielding coach, told the media in his first news conference.

Sheyas Iyer was previously injured.

After getting better from a back problem, Shreyas Iyer went back to the Test series against Australia. However, his back pain came back in the fourth and final Test in Ahmedabad.

As a result, the medical staff at the BCCI sent Iyer for scans and let everyone know that the batsman was being watched. Iyer did not bat in India’s first innings in Ahmedabad, where they concluded with a solid 571, aided by Virat Kohli’s 186.

As a result of the injury, it is anticipated that Shreyas Iyer would be unable to participate in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) for at least the first half of the season, which begins on March 31. Iyer has been given the role of captain for the Kolkata Knight Riders, a team that has won the IPL twice but seems to be searching for a new leader.

Shreyas Iyer’s Replacement:

During the ODI series against Australia, Team India has yet to identify Iyer’s replacement. Iyer has lately returned to the Border-Gavaskar Trophy squad. Iyer’s lower back troubles reappeared in the fourth test, and he did not bat for the hosts in the first innings against Australia.

India vs. Australia ODI Series:

With the absence of all-rounder Rohit Sharma, all-rounder Hardik Pandya will lead the team against Australia in the first ODI at the Wankhede Stadium. The ODI series will start on March 17, 2023.

India’s ODI squad: Rohit Sharma (captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, K L Rahul, Ishan Kishan (wk), Hardik Pandya (vice-captain), Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav,  Mohd.
