Shubman Gill and Gautam Gambhir all set to host a press-conference on this date ahead of the England tour

In what has been the latest development, as per the reports in Dainik Jagran, it is learned that new Indian Test skipper Shubman Gill and head coach Gautam Gambhir will host the press conference ahead of the England series. The two teams will be locking horns with each other in the five-match series.

The Indian team will be locking horns with England in the five-match Test series, starting 20th June at the Headingley in Leeds. The series will conclude on 4th August and it will also be part of the ICC World Test Championship cycle 2025-27.

The BCCI recently announced the Indian squad for the five-match Test series against England. Shubman Gill was named as the captain while Rishabh Pant was appointed as the vice-captain of the team, which features plenty of youngsters as well.

Indian team will be leaving for England on 5th June

The Indian team will be leaving for England on 5th June. However, ahead of their departure, Shubman Gill will be addressing the press conference along with Gautam Gambhir. The media interaction will take place at the BCCI headquarters, and after that, India will leave for the UK.

It will be the first series for Shubman Gill as a full-time captain of the Indian team in the Tests. The batter earlier led the team during the T20 series against Zimbabwe. But this time around, it will be a different challenge for him as England are very dominating at their home.

The series will also be a key for head coach Gautam Gambhir. The former Indian cricketer has been under a massive scanner for his coaching in the Tests. Under him, India faced a whitewash against New Zealand at home and also lost the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.

Hence, this will be a make-or-break series for him. Thus, he would want to make all the things correct going into the series. Also, Shubman Gill also would want to start this leadership on high. It remains to be seen what will be the future of the team in that series.
