SLvsIND 3rd T20I Preview: The Sri Lankan team registered a win in the 2nd rescheduled T20I against India to balance the three matches T20I series. India appeared with its ‘C-team’ after nine senior players were sent into isolation due to the covid positive report of Krunal Pandya on Tuesday.
The hosts managed to thrash the visitors by four wickets in the final over of the game with Dhananjaya de Silva playing an unbeaten match-winning knock of 40 runs.
Both the teams will now play the series decider on Thursday to bag the T20I series.
Team India, in the last T20I, will once again step out without senior players like Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Yuzvnedra Chahal and Deepak Chahar, as all of them are serving the quarantine.
Pacer Navdeep Saini, who walked off the field after sustaining an injury on his shoulder during the 2nd T20I will be a concern for India. Although the pacer wasn’t used by Dhawan in the penultimate T20I, he has experience of bowling under pressure and could deliver in the last T20I. India may have to draft in a net bowler if Saini becomes unavailable for the last T20I match.
Sri Lanka is expected to appear unchanged playing XI.
