South Africa vs Sri Lanka: South Africa squad against Sri Lanka for two tests.
South Africa vs Sri Lanka Test Squad: Cricket South Africa on Wednesday announced the South Africa squad for the two test games against Sri Lanka.
Migael Pretorius has earned his maiden test call up this time against Sri Lanka. The 25 years old young pacer had a brilliant season of domestic series. He had impressed the selectors with his furious skills with the ball.
Pretorius has performed exceptionally so far in the 4 Day Domestic Series under the eyes of former Proteas pacer Allan Donald. The speedster is ranked third in the list of highest wicket-taker in the series.
Migael took 19 scalps from the five games with the best bowling figure of 7/102 in the series opener against Hollywoodbets Dolphins last month.
“Cricket South Africa is delighted to add Migael in the Test squad for the Sri Lanka series. We have been ahead on rewarding consistently the good work and the players have done enough to capture our vision,” said CSA convenor of Selectors Victor Mpitsang in a statement.
“We hope that the two games test series will be a good learning experience for him and that this can serve as an encouragement for the players across the country, showing them that their chances may not be as far off as they think,” he added.
Kagiso Rabada and Dwain Pretorius have not been medically fit right now to participate in the series.
The South Africa test squad will assemble in Pretoria on Saturday for the Test series which begins on December 26.
