SRH vs DC 2025: From Roar to Rain; SRH’s Effort Goes Unrewarded!

SRH vs DC 2025: A much-anticipated clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium ended in disappointment as rain ultimately washed out the game before a result could be achieved.

In what was expected to be a high-stakes encounter with playoff implications, SRH won the toss and chose to bowl first, looking to make early inroads into Delhi’s batting lineup.

DC batted first, and they had a poor outing with the bat. SRH skipper Pat Cummins started up all guns blazing against Delhi's top order. He removed Karun Nair first ball, then got Faf in his second over, and Abhishek Porel in his third! Harshal Patel also gave equally good support and got the skipper Axar Patel's wicket, and all this within the batting powerplay. 

With the wicket of KL Rahul, DC was half the side down for just 29 runs. Then, the impact players Ashutosh Sharma and Tristan Stubbs contributed with a valiant partnership of 66 runs in the last 40 balls. This helped Delhi Capitals to post 133 runs on the board, but this was the Sunrisers' game with such a power-packed batting lineup. 

However, the weather god had different plans, and it started pouring down heavy rain. Just under a couple of minutes, the water started accumulating all around. The cut-off time was 11:20 pm, but the ground wasn't ready till then to play even a 5-over game! Hence, the match ended without a result. 

SRH have been eliminated. DC get a point and move into the odd-number points category on the table.
