T20 World Cup 2024: The 46th match of T20 World Cup 2024 was played between Super 8 Group-2 teams United States and West Indies at Kensington Oval in Barbados. In this one-sided match, co-host West Indies defeated host USA by nine wickets and earned two important points in the points table.

West Indies Won by 9 Wickets
Caribbean captain Rovman Powell won the toss and invited the USA to bat first. While batting, Aaron Jones and company were all out for 128 runs in 19.5 overs. This was the USA’s second-lowest score in the tournament. Before this, the team had scored 118 runs in 20 overs against India.

With this big margin of victory, West Indies’ chances of Super-4 qualification have increased, as West Indies has the best run rate among the four teams in the entire group. West Indies’ next match is against South Africa on which WI’s qualification will depend. Africa has not lost a single match in the tournament so far.

Super 8 Team Position
After West Indies’ big win against United States, the Group-2 points table has become complicated. South Africa is at the top after winning two out of two matches in Super-8.
