The fixture began with the Netherlands winning the toss and opting to bowl first. Bangladesh racked up a modest 159 runs to their total in 20 overs in the loss of 5 wickets. The batting unit was led by all-rounder Shakib al Hasan, who remained unbeaten throughout the innings.
