One of India’s most memorable batting performances came against Australia in the semi-final match of the inaugural edition of the T20 world cup back in 2007. India while batting first India was in trouble after losing both their openers early on.
The run rate wasn’t good enough for India and it seemed as if they would not be able to reach a good total. However, Yuvraj Singh totally changed the complexion of the match with a whirlwind 70 off just 30 balls to help India reach a total of 188 in 20 overs.
Dhoni also had a crucial role to play with his fine 46-run innings. India registered a memorable win over Australia by 15 runs to reach the finals.
2. 192/2 vs West Indies (2016 T20 World Cup)
Another memorable total registered by India in the T20I World Cup was in the semi-final of the 2016 edition of the tournament against the West Indies. India while batting first had a steady start but was being choked by regular wickets.

India’s most memorable batting performance in the T20 world cup came in the year 2007 against England in the group stage match. India while batting first had a wonderful start as openers Gautam Gambhir and Virendra Sehwag stitched on a 100-run stand.
But the highlight of the match was Yuvraj Singh’s swashbuckling batting performance which totally changed the cricketing world’s thoughts about the game. The left-handed smacked Stuart Broad for 6 sixes in 6 balls of the over and became the first batsman to do so in T20I history.
He finished with a magical 58 off just 16 balls and helped India post a massive total of 218/4 in 20 overs. India went on to win the match by 18 runs.
