T20 World Cup 2022 is just around the corner. The teams are almost settled down. As the World Cup will be held in Australia, the spinners will also have a significant part to play. The grounds in Australia are big and difficult to clear. At times the breeze makes it difficult for the players to clear the ropes. Also, there are a few dry and drifting wickets in Australia. All-in-all, there is a lot of scope for the spin bowlers. So here is a look at the top 5 spin bowlers who can possibly dominate the World Cup:

**Yuzi Chahal and Rashid Khan are not considered because they are bound to excel**

1) Shadab Khan can dominate the T20 World Cup:

The vice-captain of the Pakistan cricket team can do wonders with his leg spin. The last time around on the UAE pitches Shadab was magical. He can drift the ball in the air. He bowls a very sharp googly and a great flipper. Shadab also offers some reliance on the bat. In the field, his energy is worth a mention. As he has been playing freelance cricket he also holds a ton of experience.

2) Axar Patel can dominate the T20 World Cup:

“Bapu” as he is called by his teammates has gotten a surprise call into the national team. As Jaddu is out due to injury, Axar Patel gets a chance. But even in Jaddu’s presence, Axar deserved an opportunity. His number in the IPL in the past few years are phenomenal. In the recently concluded India VS Australia series he was the best bowler for the nation. He sticks to his strengths. He knows he isn’t a big turner of the ball so line and length matter a lot to him. He also offers the batters option at number 7.

3) Mujeeb Ur Rahman:

Rashid Khan’s right hand Mujeeb Ur Rahman will be keen on dominating this World Cup. If Mujeeb and Rashid both have a decent T20 World Cup, you never know, Afghanistan can prove to be the dark horse. Mujeeb is a thinking cricketer. He is only 21 and already has a lot of experience. His experience comes from playing freelance cricket across the globe. He bowls in the powerplay and also in the middle overs. He maintains an economy of around 6 to 7 which is elite. His googly is tough to pick. He also makes use of the flipper.

4) Tabraiz Shamsi can dominate the T20 World Cup:

Shammo, the magician from South Africa will be coming into the T20 World Cup as one of the top-rated spinners. He is highly rated by the ICC. Tabraiz is a nightmare for many batters in the powerplay. South Africa hence has two spinners who can bowl in the powerplay considering that they also ask Markram to roll his arm over. Shammo’s role is to go for runs but pick wickets. If Shamsi bowls in tandem with Rabada and Nortje, the South African attack looks deadly too. He beats the batter in the flight itself.

5) Wanindu Hasaranga:

Wanindu Hasaranga has been making the batters dance to his tunes. Every cricket pundit criticized RCB for buying Hasaranga for 11 crores but with every passing game in the IPL Hasaranga proved that he is worth every penny spent and even more. Hasaranga has a fast round-arm action and hence he is also difficult to pick. He has a sharp google and a quick flipper. His stock delivery itself is tough to play as he turns the ball square. On a dry pitch, he can easily rattle any international batting lineup.
