ICC to move T20 World Cup 2024 to England from West Indies &amp; USA: Reports: In the latest developments amid the anticipation for the ICC WTC Final, the International Cricket Council (ICC) is expected to move the T20 World Cup 2024 out of West Indies and the USA due to inadequate infrastructure in the latter country. Reportedly, the apex cricket body is mulling England as the replacement host for the T20 World Cup 2024.



As per the reports, the USA is racing against time to boost its cricketing infrastructure. The improper facilities in the country might push ICC to take the step of awarding hosting rights of the World Cup event to England.



Notably, England along with Scotland and Ireland are set to host the 2030 T20 World Cup, however, the ICC could ask to swap the hosting rights between Europe and West Indies &amp; the USA.



If ICC successfully manages to convince Europe, then the 2024 T20 World Cup will be held in England, Scotland and Ireland while the T20 World Cup of 2030 will be awarded to West Indies and the USA.



The ICC source informed that such a decision would allow the USA to upgrade and develop its cricketing infrastructure in a better-planned way, otherwise, it would be a rushed process.



?There is a situation at hand. The current infrastructure situation in the USA is not very encouraging and it is likely that the ICC could well swap the hosts for the 2024 and 2030 editions of the event. It will also allow USA Cricket to get the infrastructure in order before 2030 and allow them to set the house in order too,? a source in the know of things told?News18 CricketNext.



?Right now, it will be a rushed process to get the venues ready. England were already allotted the 2030 World Cup and they, unlike other nations, can host an event in June-July.?



Meanwhile, the former USA Cricket official also confirmed that the cricket stadiums in the country are not ready for the 2024 T20 World Cup and even if prepared in haste, the official doubted that it may fail to withstand the ICC's standards. He said, there are a number of checklists that ICC needs to review in order for the venue to make a cut.



"I can tell you that the ICC site visits which happened recently, many parks, free spaces with some green cover to be precise, were being explored to have a modular set-up in place for the World Cup. Modular stands and everything else also modular in nature. But it?s going to be one hell of a task to even pull that off and even if they do, not entirely sure whether it would meet ICC standards. There are a lot of ICC checklists for a venue and I highly doubt the modular or the makeshift venues will make the cut,? the former USA cricket official said.



The 2024 T20 World Cup will have a slight difference in the format. The tournament will have 20 teams fighting for the elusive trophy. 20 teams will be divided into four groups of five teams each. The initial round will be followed by the Super 8s, where two groups will be formed of four teams each. The top two teams of each group will make it to the knockout round.

Men and Women's Team set to get equal prize money in ICC World Cups: In a milestone decision, the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday confirmed that the Men and Women's Cricket Team will receive equal prize money in the ICC-sponsored events held across the world. The development was made at the ICC Annual Conference held in Durham.



The decision to bring the prize money of Men's and Women's Cricket to the same level was a step to achieve prize money parity, for which 2030 was fixed as the deadline.



With this landmark decision, all the teams (Men and Women) competing in the ICC events in all corners of the world will receive an equal sum of money at every step. The prize distribution structure in the two comparable ICC events between Men and Women will have no difference.



ICC chairman Greg Barclay was delighted with the significant move and said the women cricketers will be rewarded equally to men now in the comparable ICC tournaments.



"This is a significant moment in the history of our sport and I am delighted that men?s and women?s cricketers competing at ICC global events will now be rewarded equally," ICC Chairman Greg Barclay said.



?Since 2017 we have increased prize money at women?s events every year with a clear focus on reaching equal prize money and from here on in, winning the ICC Women?s Cricket World Cup will carry the same prize money as winning the ICC Men?s Cricket World Cup and the same for T20 World Cups and U19s too," he added.



?Cricket is genuinely a sport for all and this decision from the ICC Board reinforces that and enables us to celebrate and value every single player?s contribution to the game equally.?



The prize money for Women's ICC events is on the rise since 2017. The reward for ICC Women's Cricket World Cup was increased from $2 Million in 2017 to $3.5 Million in 2022.



Furthermore, an increase of five times in the prize pool for winners and runner-ups of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2020 and 2023 was seen as ICC hiked the prize money.



Celebrating the move, BCCI secretary Jay Shah, who was also present in the meeting, took to Twitter to applaud the effort to achieve prize money parity in both Men and Women's tournaments. 



He wrote," Start of a new dawn. An era of equality and empowerment. I am thrilled to announce that a major step towards gender parity &amp; inclusivity has been undertaken. The prize money at all @ICC events will be the same for men &amp; women. Together we grow. I thank my fellow Board members for their support in helping achieve this important endeavour. Let?s work towards a future where cricket continues to thrive across the globe."

Apart from this, it is reported that the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 won't be having a captain photoshoot because of the different challenges along with the different arrivals of the team. This means that Rohit Sharma won't be travelling to Pakistan for this and will be staying in Dubai with the team.

Pakistan is the only team that has yet to announce the squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Since the last few days, he has been in the news as there have been a lot of reports that have suggested that there are chances that he might open the innings for the team. 
However, the fresh reports in Cricket Pakistan have revealed that there are no plans to make Babar Azam open the innings. The reports added that the selection committee has not given the green signal to the development as they feel that batter will be best suited in the middle order.

Babar Azam has been the best batter for Pakistan in ODIs. The batter has mustered truckloads of runs for the team in the format while batting at No.3 and he will be extremely crucial for his team in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which will be played in Pakistan with India games to be played in India. 
Babar Azam also has been a decent opener as well. He has been opening for the team in T20Is and has achieved massive success as well. He also opened in Test cricket during the recent South Africa series and aced that challenge as well, slamming two half-centuries in two innings. 
But, in white-ball cricket, Babar Azam has been criticised a lot for opening in T20Is. This is because he has failed to maximise the powerplay and has been batting with a low strike rate. It remains to be seen where he will be batting for the team in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

India assistant coach Ryan Ten Doeschate has provided a massive fitness update about batter Rinku Singh ahead of the fourth IND vs ENG T20I. He mentioned that the left-hander has gained full fitness and will be playing the next match of the five-match T20I series. 
India and England are all set to lock horns with each other in the fourth match of the T20I series. The game is all set to be played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Thursday (30th January). The series is currently at 2-1, with hosts in the lead. 
India has been without the services of Rinku Singh for the last two games of the IND vs ENG series. The left-hander sustained a low back spasm while fielding in the first game and was then ruled out of the next two games of the series as he was under the observation of the BCCI medical team. 
In his place, the India team added Dhruv Jurel to the XI, and the move didn't pay off. The keeper-batter batted lower down the order and struggled to get going in both games, and it potentially cost them the last match of the series.

However, in what will be a massive boost, Rinku Singh has been declared fit for the next two games. The development was confirmed by assistant coach Ryan Ten Doeschate, who said that the batter hit nets and will be playing. He told reporters. 
"Rinku Singh is fit and ready to play tomorrow. He batted yesterday night" 
Rinku Singh has been India's one of the best batters in the T20Is. His absence was felt in the last two games as well, but now, with him being fit, it is expected that he would walk straight into the XI and is likely to add Dhruv Jurel to the team. 
The fourth IND vs ENG T20I will be a great opportunity for India to to seal the series, but they need to make some corrections before heading into the next IND vs ENG match. 
India faced a disappointing 26-run loss in the last match at Rajkot. Their batting was one of the main reasons behind the loss and they would be hoping to make a strong comeback.

His highest score—173—came against Bengal. A stellar 2009-10 season earned him a Test call-up, and in 2011, he made his debut in whites against the West Indies.
