T20I World Cup: After the conclusion of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, Rahul Dravid's contract had expired, and a couple of IPL franchises had even contacted Dravid to become their coach, but the BCCI instead decided to offer him a contract extension. Along with the 50-year-old, the contracts of the rest of the coaching staff have been extended as well. According to Cricbuzz, their contracts have been extended until the T20I World Cup.



The main reason behind BCCI deciding to continue with Dravid as the head coach of the Men in Blue was to guarantee the continuity of the foundation he had set as a coach over the previous two years, which would otherwise be disturbed under a new coach.
