<a href="https://www.icccricketschedule.com/?s=PAK+vs+NED" rel="nofollow">PAK vs NED</a>, Pakistan's T20I Tour of Netherlands is Postponed Due To The Scheduling Reasons | Pakistan Tour of Netherlands 2024: On the request of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), ICC postponed <a href="https://www.icccricketschedule.com/?s=Pakistan" rel="nofollow">Pakistan's </a>tour to the Netherlands, which included three T20I matches, and the series was initially scheduled for May 2023, just before the T20I World Cup 2024.



Pakistan had a busy schedule in 2024 before the <a href="https://www.icccricketschedule.com/category/t20/t20-world-cup/" rel="nofollow">T20I World Cup 2024</a>, as they will play three T20Is against Ireland and four T20Is against England. Such a tight schedule of the Pakistan Cricket Team before a tournament led to a high workload on their players, which is not good for player's fitness.



The Koninklijke Nederlandse Cricket Board (KNCB) manager, Roland Lefebvre, is not happy with the decision made by PCB to postpone the T20I series. The Three-match T20I series against Pakistan means a lot for the Netherlands as it will help them test their bench strength before the ICC Men's T20I World Cup 2024.



Netherlands qualified for the ICC Men's T20I World Cup 2024, which is scheduled to be held in the West Indies and USA. All the teams are now focusing on the T20I format after the end of the ODI World Cup 2023, and the Australian Team won the tournament by defeating the host India.

Recently, Wahab Riaz was appointed as the new chief selector of Pakistan, whereas Umar is now the new fast bowling coach, and Saeed Ajmal has been appointed as the new spin bowling coach of the Pakistan Men's Cricket Team. These changes were made in Pakistan's coaching staff after having poor performance in the ODI World Cup 2023.



Pakistan failed to qualify for the World Cup 2023 Semi-Finals as they played nine matches in the league stage, out of which they won only four games. Pakistan didn't play their best cricket in this tournament, which cost them a lot. Babar Azam also resigned as the captain of Pakistan Men's Cricket Team from all three formats.

New Zealand has occupied the third position in the ICC Men's T20I Team Rankings with a rating of 254 and 13,988 points whereas Pakistan is in fourth position with a rating of 251 and 13,325 points. Pakistan will be playing a five-match T20I series against New Zealand hence both teams have a great opportunity to improve their position.



The ODI World Cup 2023 Winner, Australia is in fifth position in the ICC Men's T20I Team Rankings with a rating of 250 and 9,760 points which is pretty much good but they didn't perform well in the T20 Internationals in the last year. South Africa, who will be hosting T20I World Cup 2024 is in sixth position in the ICC T20 Team Standings with a rating of 249.

After having lots of meetings with the players and coaching staff, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced their new skipper for the white-ball cricket. In a surprising turn of events, <a href="https://www.icccricketschedule.com/?s=Babar+Azam" rel="nofollow">Babar Azam</a>, who stepped down as skipper of the Pakistan National Cricket team from all three formats now, reappointed as a captain of Pakistan's T20I &amp; ODI teams. The ICC Men's T20I World Cup 2024 is scheduled to start on June 01, 2024, and PCB wants their best team in the tournament.



However few months back, Shaheen Shah Afridi was appointed the captain of Pakistan Men's T20I team, this decision came after Pakistan had a poor performance in the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023.



But Shaheen lost a five-match T20I series against New Zealand by 4-1. He was also leading <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lahore_Qalandars">Lahore Qalandars </a>in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 but he did a poor job there too and failed to qualify for the PSL 2024 Playoffs. Therefore, PCB went with their most experienced and successful captain for the White-ball cricket, especially for the T20 World Cup 2024.

IND vs ENG 3rd T20I: After the Chennai setback, a much better performance by England tonight kept them alive in the five-match T20I series. England won the third T20I by 26 runs. The scoreline now stands 2-1 in favor of India with a couple of T20Is remaining. 
India were in a strong position after the first innings, with a brilliant bowling performance putting them on top. However, England executed their plans well in the second innings and managed to defend the total comfortably in the end, tightening their grip as the match progressed. Despite India’s early promise, the pressure mounted, and the top order’s failure ultimately proved costly, leaving them with too much to do.

For the third time in a row, India won the toss and chose to field first. Captain Surya seemed pleased with the decision, inviting England to set a target. The pressure mounted as the last-match hero, Tilak Varma, walked in but couldn’t replicate his heroics. By the halfway mark, India were wobbling at 78/4, with the chase suddenly looking far more challenging than it did at the start.

The chase was far from over, but with 94 runs still required off 60 balls, India needed something special. Hardik Pandya and Washington Sundar were tasked with bringing the game back on track. While Hardik remained calm, Sundar struggled to find his rhythm. He consumed valuable deliveries but couldn’t get the scoreboard ticking, eventually falling for just 6 off 15 balls, adding to India’s mounting pressure.
Axar Patel came in next, playing a quiet supporting role, but with India needing more than just steady contributions, the situation grew dire. With 72 runs still required off the final five overs, it was clear that only an explosive finish could keep India in the hunt. Hardik pushed the limits but only to reduce the defeat margins. The asking rate was growing and he didn't have any choice but the go aerial every ball and lost his wicket in the process.

On Tuesday, the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed Indian ace pacer to be the winner of the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year at the ICC Awards 2024. This has marked another successful chapter in Bumrah's glorious career. He has been the best all-format bowler to play cricket in modern cricket. He played a major role in India winning the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
Bumrah finished 2024 with the most wickets across formats. He took 86 wickets in 21 matches across formats. With that, he also won the Player of the Tournament award in the T20 World Cup 2024, with 15 wickets at an incredible economy rate of 4.17. In Test cricket, Bumrah finished with 32 wickets in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 at an average of 14.92 and a strike rate of 30.1.
The pacer also achieved the highest rating points in Test for an Indian, surpassing Ravichandran Ashwin's tally. Adding to that, he also won the ICC Test Player of the Year award and became only the third bowler to win these two ICC awards in the same year, after Mitchell Johnson and Ravichandran Ashwin.
