The International Cricket Council (ICC) has recently revealed the complete roadmap for the world?s biggest T20 World Cup, which will feature a record 20 teams.



The first 12 teams will get an automatic qualification for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 while the next eight spots will be filled by hosting qualifying events across the world.



Of the first 12, eight top-performing teams of the T20 World Cup 2022 will get the automatic qualification. West Indies and the USA, being the hosts of the event in 2024, will also get the automatic qualification. While the remaining two places will be filled by the next highest-ranked team in the ICC T20 team?s rankings as of 14 November 2022.



<h2>Remaining eight spots to be filled with qualifying events:</h2>



The last eight spots in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will be determined by various regional qualifier rounds scheduled in the next two years. Two teams each from the region Africa, Asia and Europe along with one team each from the Americas and East Asia and Pacific (EAP) region will get a seat in the World Cup 2024.



As many as 66 nations across the globe will compete in the coming two years in hopes of getting a berth in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Format Revealed, World Cup 2024 to be held in different Format: The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday confirmed the format of the ICC Men?s T20 World Cup 2024 which is slated to be held jointly in the West Indies and the USA. The coveted tournament will have 20 teams in the first round which will be divided into four groups of five teams each.



Notably, the T20 World Cup in 2021 and 2022 was held with 16 teams in the first round followed by the Super12s. The top two ranked teams (of Group 1 and Group 2) in Super12s went ahead to play the semi-finals and eventually the winner of the semi-finals played out the final of the tournament.&nbsp;



But, in the upcoming event, two teams from each of the four groups will proceed to the Super Eight round. The teams will further be divided into two groups of four teams each and the top two sides of each group in Super8s will head to the semi-finals. The final will be held between the winners of semi-final 1 and 2 teams.

Interestingly 12 teams have already secured their place in the T20 World Cup 2024 with the USA and West Indies being the first ones to acquire a spot as they are the hosts of the tournament. The other 10 teams are - England, Pakistan, India, New Zealand, Australia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and the Netherlands.



The final eight teams will be filled after playing out the regional qualifiers in the coming months, said the ICC in a press release.



"While South Africa claimed 2024 qualification by virtue of their top eight finish, Zimbabwe were unable to capitalise on their strong start to the campaign, finishing last in the Super 12 group to be sent back to regional qualification," the ICC said in the release.

In the ICC?s FTP, West Indies along with the USA are scheduled to host the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 whereas England, Ireland and Scotland are slated to host England 2030 and it was learned that ICC is likely to swap the venues.&nbsp;



But as per the latest reports in Cricbuzz, International Cricket Council (ICC) have quashed off all the reports and have cleared the air related to the venue shift. They have made it clear that T20 World Cup 2024 will be hosted in West Indies and USA and they have done venue inspections as well.&nbsp;

"Venue inspections have recently been concluded in both host territories, and planning for the event in June 2024 is in full swing. The 2024 event is scheduled for June, and the only other possible location is England.&nbsp;



"If someone were to ask the ECB if they can host in 2024, the answer would be crystal clear - they can't. So, the possibility doesn't even arise. Just a glance at the England venue fixtures for next year will confirm this to anyone observant enough."&nbsp;

While Barbados is considered to stage the Australia vs England fixture, the marquee India vs Pakistan game is set to be held in a newly built pop-up stadium in New York, according to the reports.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday (5th January) announced the schedule for the T20 World Cup 2024. The event will be played from 1st to 29th June in the United States of America (USA) and the Caribbean.&nbsp;



As many as 20 teams will be taking part in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 and it will be for the first time that this many teams will take part. The governing body has made 4 groups with 5 teams each and the top two teams from each group will advance to the super 8 stage.&nbsp;

The fewer for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is on. The <a href="https://www.icc-cricket.com" data-type="link" data-id="https://www.icc-cricket.com">International Cricket Council </a>(ICC) on Friday (5th January) announced the schedule for the tournament, which will be played in the United States of America (USA) and the Caribbean.?



The much anticipated ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will begin from 1st June with a clash between hosts USA and Canada. The semi-finals will be on the 26th and 27th of June at in Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana. The final of the tournament is all set to be played in Barbados&nbsp;on 29 June.&nbsp;



The T20 World Cup 2024 will see as many as 55 matches being played. Out of this, the Caribbean will host 42 matches whereas the USA will be hosting 16 games. It will be for the first time in the history of the event that 20 teams will be taking part in the tournament.?

The T20 World Cup 2024 will see 5 teams divided into 4 groups each. The top two teams from each team will reach the Super 8 stage. In that stage, the top two teams will play the semi-final against each other and the two winners will then advance to the final.&nbsp;



Group A&nbsp;of the tournament has the likes of&nbsp; India, Pakistan, Ireland, Canada and the USA whereasGroup B&nbsp;has England, Australia, Namibia, Scotland and Oman. New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan,&nbsp;Uganda and Papua New Guinea are placed in&nbsp;Group C.&nbsp;South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands and Nepal are slotted in&nbsp;Group D.&nbsp;



Each group has quite a few associate teams as well. It?s fair to say that top teams are likely to advance to the Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup 2024. It will be tough for the associate teams to defeat big names.&nbsp;



If there are no upsets then Super 8 Groups are likely to be like this



Group 1: India, Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka.



Group 2: Pakistan, England, West Indies, South Africa.

The wait for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is all set to be over. The tournament will begin on 19th February, and the final will take place on 9th March. The India team, no doubt, will be one of the hot favourites to win the tournament, which will be played in a hybrid model. 
India will be playing all their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 games in Dubai. The Rohit Sharma-led side will be beginning their campaign against Bangladesh on 20th February, and, after that, will be playing Pakistan on 23rd February, followed by New Zealand on 2nd March. 
The departure date of India for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 also has been revealed. As per the reports in Times of India, it is learned that the Rohit Sharma-led side will be travelling to Dubai on 15th February. The reports added that more clarity on the same will come in the coming days.

The reports added that India team management is happy with the net session ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This is because they will be playing the three-match ODI series against England, which will begin on 6th February across three venues in India. 
Apart from this, it is reported that the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 won't be having a captain photoshoot because of the different challenges along with the different arrivals of the team. This means that Rohit Sharma won't be travelling to Pakistan for this and will be staying in Dubai with the team. 
The opening ceremony of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be held in Lahore. There were talks of having the event in Karachi but the Pakistan Cricket Board decided to host it in Lahore.
