<p><strong>T20 World Cup 2024</strong>: The ICC T20 main event of 2024 is underway and is approaching its halfway mark. 27 of  40 group stage matches have been played and Team India is left with just one game in the group stage.</p>

<p>The Team India under the leadership of Rohit Sharma have qualified for the SUPER Eights after winning three matches in a row. They are the topper of the Points Table in Group A of T20 World Cup 2024. India share the group with Pakistan, USA, Ireland, and Canada.</p>

<p>India became the first team from Group A to qualify for the SUPER Eights following a streak of win. In their Three-match-win streak, they first defeated Ireland with complete domination. Bowling first, they wrapped up Ireland inside 100 runs and chased the target within 74 balls.</p>

<p>Next up, they met Pakistan in New York which was kind of a competitive match. The Men in Blue batted first and Pakistan were too good with the ball, restricting the Blues to under 120. However, India did an even better job with the ball than Pakistan and defended the score by a margin of 6 runs.</p>



<p>The third and most recent one was against USA where the hosts were not that good with the bat. They posted 110 runs in 20 overs and India chased down the total with 10 balls to spare. These three consecutive wins earned them a total of 6 points and they are now one of the teams of Super 8s.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="indias-next-fixture"><strong>India's next Fixture</strong></h2>



<p>India are left with just one match in the group stage and that is against Canada. This will be the first time these two teams will face off in the T20I format. They have already qualified and the result of this contest won't make any difference for them but it will be crucial for Canada. </p>

<p>Canada have won one match in the group stage till now defeating Ireland by 12 runs. They need a big win here against the in-form Blues if they seek the qualification possibilities. </p>



<p>The INDIA vs CANADA match will be played on 15th June at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground,?Lauderhill, Florida. However, the weather conditions in Florida are not ideal these days as this part is witnessing heavy rainfall and flood-like conditions this season. </p>

<p><strong>IND vs CAN: </strong>Two of Team India's travelling reserves - opener Shubman Gill and pacer Avesh Khan - are set to be released from Team India's squad upon the completion of the team's USA leg of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. The two will be set free after Team India's game against Canada on June 15 in Lauderhill, Florida.</p>



<p>As per the report published on Cricbuzz, Avesh Khan and Shubman Gill accompanied Team India to Florida in a chartered flight from New York, following Team India's fixture against the USA. The two, however, are not likely to be with the team for the rest of the tournament, which will be held in the Caribbean. </p>



<p>Though they will be released from the main squad, Shubman Gill and Avesh Khan can still make it in case of any urgency due to player injury. </p>



<p>Shubman Gill, who was picked as a reserve opener, will only be considered after Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is in the main squad. Moreover, the team isn't going to require a lot of pacers into playing 11 during the Caribbean leg of the T20 World Cup 2024 due to the spinning nature of the surface, hence the decision to release Avesh Khan.</p>



<p>Meanwhile, two remaining reserves - Rinku Singh and Khaleel Ahmed - will stay and travel with Team India throughout the competition.</p>



<p>Team India has already qualified for the T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8s. India won three games on the bounce upfront to seal a place for themselves in the next round of the tournament. The Rohit Sharma-led side defeated Ireland, Pakistan and the USA in the first three fixtures. </p>



<p>The Men in Blue will now face Canada on June 19 at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill, Florida before they head into the Super8s, which begins on June 19.</p>



<p>India is set to play three Super8 fixtures, including one against Australia on June 24 in St Lucia. The details of the other two fixtures are still awaited. </p>
