India vs England: Team India will go as per the unprecedented schedule of 2021 cricket and will face India A first before getting out to play against England on the England tour.



The clash between India and India A will be in County Ground in Northamptonshire in July 2021. The exact details of the match will be unveiled soon.



The Indian cricket team is fixed to tour England for the long series in August and September 2021. The tour includes five test matches and the opener will be held at Nottingham on August 4.



?Some of the world?s finest international cricketers will be on show at The County Ground this summer as we welcome India and India A,? Northamptonshire County Cricket Club said in a statement late on Wednesday.



?Before the actual show between two of the world-class teams, India will face India A in the four-day warm-up game that happens to be a quality showcase of the cricket.?



Another warm-up game will be held in&nbsp; Leicestershire on July 28.



?The Indian tour party will then travel to Leicestershire the following week for a second warmup fixture beginning the 28th of July,? the statement said.



<h2>Schedule for test series in England:</h2>



The second test game will be held in London from August 12-16, the third test will be hosted at Leeds from August 25-29. For the fourth test, both the teams will return to London (2-6 September) while the last test game will be held at Manchester from (September 10-14).



The English cricket contingent is currently scheduled to play four games test series in India. The series will begin on 5th February followed by the five games T20I series and three ODIs.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar bashes reports to him not wanting to play test cricket.



Team India?s senior seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar on Saturday slammed all those reports that were claiming that he no more wants to feature in the test format. Kumar denied all the reports saying that he continues to prepare for all three formats regardless of the selection.



A report published by the Times of India this morning quoted that the main reason behind Bhuvneshwar Kumar?s exclusion from the India Test squad for England is his will to not playing the test format anymore.



?Bhuvneshwar just doesn?t want to play Test cricket anymore. That drive has gone missing? To be honest, the selectors don?t even see Bhuvi hungry for 10 overs, forget Test cricket. It?s Team India?s loss no doubt because if one bowler should have made it to England, it should have been him,? stated the report in the Times of India.



The 31-years old pacer took to Twitter to slam the sources claiming a wrong report and suggested not publishing the reports based on so-called sources. 



"There have been articles about me not wanting to play Test cricket. Just to clarify, I have always prepared myself for all three formats irrespective of the team selection and will continue to do the same.?



Suggestion - please don?t write your assumptions based on ?sources?!,? wrote Bhuvneshwar Kumar in his reply.

The covid infected cricketer will not travel with the team to Durham.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) immediately announced a new bunch of players to play the ODI series against Pakistan and sent the whole previous English squad into isolation.

The ECB chief further stated that they don't want players to stay confined to their roles of bat/bowl and again go back to their rooms.&nbsp;



Harrison made it clear that all the cricket boards must pay attention to their players. All the cricketers have been without their families and friends for a long time due to international commitments.

"He (Cheteshwar Pujara) seems to be moving his feet a lot less against pace than before, and that has resulted in fewer strokes. Pujara doesn't have a high backlift, and he holds the bat near the bottom of the handle, which reduces the bat-swing significantly,? wrote Chopra.



"That means his stroke-making needs to start with getting the body into the right position to execute shots. The front foot hasn't been going down the pitch, and the back foot hasn't been going inside the box either."



The former cricketer and commentator further stated that the Indian team should stick with the services of Cheteshwar Pujara, despite a few poor innings.



There has been a lot of speculation revolving around the replacement of Cheteshwar Pujara with KL Rahul or Hanuma Vihari in the test team following the failure in the WTC final.



India once again bowed down to New Zealand in the ICC knockout match (this time ICC WTC Final) by eight wickets and lost the inaugural Test Championship mace.



Moreover in the ongoing practice match against the County Select XI, Pujara managed to score a mere 21 off 47 balls with two fours. His poor score in the three days practice match creates a worrying mess for the veteran cricketer as his slot in the red-ball format is extremely vulnerable.

Suryakumar Yadav, who showed promising signs in the last couple of months, got his maiden Test Call-up and will travel to the UK along with opening batsman Prithvi Shaw.



The replacements have been called for injured Shubman Gill, Avesh Khan and Washington Sundar.



While Gill was ruled out owing to his shin stress injury, Avesh Khan and Washington Sundar sustained blows in their fingers during the three days warm-up matches recently.



?Yes, Prithvi and Surya are flying to the UK from Sri Lanka. Both players will have a bubble to bubble transfer from Colombo to London. Whether they will fly in the middle of the T20 Internationals (Shaw and Suryakumar are part of team in Sri Lanka) or post that is being worked out,? the senior official told PTI.



All-rounder Jayant Yadav, who was also supposed to join India in England, is not going, confirmed the senior BCCI official.

BCCI earlier named the two aforementioned cricketers as the replacement for injured Shubman Gill, Avesh Khan and Washington Sundar for the upcoming England vs India five matches test series.



Suryakumar Yadav and Prithvi Shaw are currently in the isolation following the covid positive report of Krunal Pandya. Both the replacements for the England test tour are unlikely to head out to the UK anytime soon due to quarantine protocols of Sri Lanka.



According to the health protocols of Sri Lanka, Yadav and Shaw will set their foot outside their rooms only after August 6. Earlier, the two were expected to leave for the UK by July 30th and could have been available for the second test after completing the mandatory quarantine in the UK.



However, this looks impossible because of the challenging health protocols of Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom.

<ul><li>The duo will serve the quarantine in Sri Lanka until August 6, before heading out to board a flight to the UK on August 7.</li><li>Upon landing in England, the two will have to serve a strict round of the 10-days quarantine, according to the UK health authorities.</li><li>Yadav and Shaw will serve another three days quarantine where the cricketers will have to show up three covid negative reports in three days in order to meet the Indian squad in England.</li><li>With all this happening both the batsman will only be able to join the Indian squad on August 22, which is three days before the start of the 3rd Test match against England.</li></ul>

The limited practice sessions before the test matches against the quality England side might not help the Indians. Moreover, the mental stress of being in quarantine for close to one month could play a trick.



The BCCI will have to rethink their decision of sending two other replacements for Suryakumar Yadav and Prithvi Shaw or they can make settlements with Sri Lanka Cricket Board along with the UK health authorities.



Now, only a reduced quarantine time period along with bubble-to-bubble transfer of Yadav and Shaw can help the Indian team.



However, still, there is plenty of time with the BCCI to initiate a talk with their Sri Lankan and English counterparts to send Suryakumar Yadav and Prithvi Shaw as soon as possible.

India is all set to lock horns with England in the five-match T20I series. The first game of the series is all set to be played on Wednesday (23rd January) at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. 
The India team is all set to be captained by Suryakumar Yadav and the squad is filled with plenty of youngsters. Thus the series provides a great opportunity for the young players to make their case strong and seal their place in the Indian XI for the T20 World Cup 2026. 
Openers: Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson; Tilak Varma at No.3 
Coming to the Indian XI for the first T20I against England, it is expected that Sanju Samson will retain his place as an opener in the team. He has been in great form of late, as he slammed three centuries in 2024 while opening the innings. 
Abhishek Sharma is expected to partner with him at the top of the series. The left-hander hasn't been able to maintain the consistency, and there were reports that this will be the make-or-break series for him. At No.3, it is expected that Tilak Varma will be batting because of his heroics in South Africa.

The tensions between Rohit Sharma and Gautam Gambhir are increasing day by day as the duo were involved in a massive argument. As per the reports in Dainik Jagran, it is learned that both weren't on the same page related to the selection for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. 
The India squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 was announced on Saturday (18th January). The press conference of the skipper Rohit Sharma and selector Ajit Agarkar was scheduled to take place at 12:30 PM IST, but it took place two and a half hours later than the scheduled time as the media was asked to wait. 
However, it was revealed, as per the reports in Dainik Jagran, that the reason behind the delay was there was an argument between Gautam Gambhir, Rohit Sharma and Ajit Agarkar over some of the players. The major talking point was the vice-captain of the team. 
Both Rohit Sharma and Ajit Agarkar wanted Shubman Gill as the vice-captain while Gautam Gambhir wanted to give vice-captaincy to Hardik Pandya. However, the coach and captain were adamant about making Gill deputy, and hence, the decision was taken in favour of Gill. 
The other argument they had was between Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson. Gautam Gambhir was in favour of the latter while Rohit Sharma and Ajit Agarkar wanted Rishabh Pant. They didn't listen to the coach, and hence, both Gill and Pant were picked in their roles on demand of skipper and selector. 
Apart from these selections, what was the surprise was India named just three pacers in the team. Mohammed Siraj was dropped while they went in with four seamers: Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav, who will be the wrist spinner.
