MS Dhoni expresses uncertainties over his retention in the IPL 2022 for CSK.



IPL 2022: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni confirms that he will remain attached to the yellow brigade in the next IPL season as well, but perhaps not as a player or captain.



During the toss in the match between CSK and PBKS, which is won by PBKS by a huge margin of six wickets and 7 overs to spear, Dhoni indicated that his love affair with CSK will remain intact even if he doesn?t get the opportunity as a player. He expressed uncertainties over his retention in the IPL 2022 due to the addition of the two new teams.



The BCCI is all excited to make the IPL a ten teams affair by adding two more teams to the existing pool of eight. The mega auctions will also be held before that which means that the franchises will only be exempted to retain just a handful of the players.



?You'll see me in yellow next season but whether I'll be playing for CSK you never know. There are a lot of uncertainties coming up, two new teams are coming, we don't know what the retention rules are and so on,? said MS Dhoni when asked about his next IPL season by Danny Morrison.&nbsp;



?We don?t know the retention policy. We don?t know how many foreigners, Indian players we can retain, the money cap that every player will be cutting from the kitty,? Dhoni added.

Interestingly, Danny Morrison was the one who asked MS Dhoni, last year as well, whether IPL 2020 is going to be his last IPL season, to which the captain cool gently replied, ?Definitely not!?

The CSK skipper has already stated that his fans will see him donning a yellow jersey for CSK in the next IPL season. Moreover, the former Indian skipper also hinted that his last IPL match will be Chennai?s home ground.



?When it comes to farewell, you can still come and see me play for CSK and that can be my farewell game. So, you will still get that opportunity to bid me farewell. Hopefully, we will come to Chennai and play my last game over there and we can meet the fans there,? Dhoni said when asked about his farewell match.

IPL 2022 Mega Auction: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is thoroughly considering allowing the two new IPL franchises to have the freedom to pick a few players outside the auction table with their ?special picks? perk in the coming IPL 2022 auctions.

A team is likely to get a maximum of four retention choices with three Indian players and one overseas or a maximum of three Indians and a maximum of two overseas cricketers. If four retentions are granted, the Right To Match (RTM) card will be scrapped.

4. Moises Henriques - Moises Henriques was a very sought after player in the Indian Premier League during his time at Kings XI Punjab and Sunrisers Hyderabad but that time is long gone now.&nbsp;
