<p>Sri Lankan top-order batsmen disappointed everyone with their performance in the first innings, Sri Lanka lost six wickets at a score of just 92 runs. Captain Dhananjaya de Silva played a captaincy innings and handled the team, he scored 74 runs in just 84 balls with the help of eight fours, while Milan Priyanath Rathnayake, playing his first match, won everyone's heart with his performance. Priyanath Rathnayake played an innings of 72 runs in 135 balls with the help of six fours and two sixes.</p>



<p>In the bowling department, Chris Woakes and Shoaib Bashir took 3-3 wickets for England, Gus Atkinson took 2 wickets and Mark Wood took 1 wicket.</p>
