IPL 2021: Former Indian spinner and the current Hyderabad Cricket Association President, Mohammad Azharuddin on Sunday said that the state association is capable of conducting the game of the upcoming Indian Premier League as per the BCCI protocols.

Earlier, the president of Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) made an appeal to BCCI and the IPL GC to include Hyderbad in the venues for the IPL 2021 games. They have done tremendous work in containing the virus through preventive measures and they have the least cases when compared to all the metro cities.&nbsp;

BCCI earlier were of the view to conduct the IPL in just one city and shift to Ahmedabad for the playoffs and final. While with the rising cases, the officials are deliberating to conduct the IPL across six cities. However, the names are not finalised yet and there is no official statement from the authorities.



<h2>Shortlisted cities for IPL 2021:</h2>



The BCCI officials are shying to disclose the plans right now, as the situation may not go as per the plans. While it is clear that the IPL will definitely move out across cities this year.



Yesterday, it was reported that the IPL games will be held across six venues. Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi, Bangalore and Ahmedabad are the shortlisted cities to conduct the games.



All the eight franchises will be divided into groups and all the teams will first have to play home and away games within the group before they head out to play with the subsequent other groups.



Some franchises are not happy with the decision of BCCI to conduct game across six venues. Somehow, they will lose that home advantage.



Also, the permissions for the hosting spectators for the IPL is not specified. Mumbai might not permit for the fans due to the rising covid cases after the second wave while some venues may see half the capacity of fans.

Rishabh Pant can be a future captain of the Indian national side: Azharuddin.



The left-handed wicketkeeper-batsman could emerge as one of the best contenders of Indian captaincy in the near future, feels former Indian skipper Mohammad Azharuddin. The 23-years old cricketer was named as the team lead for Delhi Capitals in the absence of regular skipper Shreyas Iyer this season.



Delhi Capitals (DC) regular skipper Shreyas Iyer was earlier ruled out of the whole Indian T20 tournament due to a shoulder injury. In the recent ODI games against England, Iyer dislocated his left shoulder and will require a minimum of six weeks of rest time to heal. If the cricketer opts for surgery then the healing period will extend over six weeks.



?Rishabh Pant has had such fabulous few months, establishing himself in all formats. It won?t come as a surprise if the selectors see him as a front-runner fr Indian captaincy in near future. His attacking cricket will stand India in good stead in times to come,? Azharuddin tweeted.

Former Indian captain, Azharuddin said that the way Rishabh Pant bats, his style of cricket will help team India in the near future.

Delhi management was convinced to give the reigns to Pant despite having experienced skippers on the side. Ajinkya Rahane, Ravichandran Ashwin, Steve Smith were also on the fray to lead DC.



Rishabh Pant re-discovered himself after he was dropped from India?s limited-overs side in Australia tour. He came back strongly and worked on his basics to improve his game. He not only made his comeback in the test format but also made his way in the limited-overs format and became India?s dependable cricketer in the span of just 3 months.



Scoring quick runs without any fear of his own milestones sets him apart from the rest of the cricketers.&nbsp;



He had a blistering series against England will now hope to convert it same with Delhi Capitals along with the captaincy.

Vivo IPL 2021: Mohammad Azharuddin offers BCCI to host IPL 2021 games in Hyderabad.



Vivo IPL 2021: Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) president and Former Indian skipper Mohammad Azharuddin on Sunday have come up with an offer for BCCI to host IPL 2021 games in Hyderabad in case the body is planning to move games out of Mumbai.



The Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday said that Indore and Hyderabad have been kept as the backup option for IPL 2021 if covid-19 hit Mumbai fails to host games.



The decision was taken after 10 groundstaff and six event managers of Wankhede Stadium Mumbai have tested positive for the coronavirus. All the staff members have been sent home and a fresh bunch of members have been called in.



?In these difficult times, there is all the more reasons for us to stand by each other. Hyderabad Cricket Association would like to offer its facilities to @BCCI to ensure that IPL2021 is conducted in safe and secure venues,? Azharuddin wrote on his Twitter handle.

Maharashtra alone has recorded over 35,000 covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours and Mumbai accounts for 9,108 cases alone. After the surge in the cases, the Maharashtra government has decided to put the state under strict night lockdown.



However, senior BCCI official said that Mumbai will host the IPL games even if the situations gets worsened in the city.



?Look, the games will be held irrespective of the situations. Players are in a bubble and the games will be played behind the closed gates and nothing has to do with the outside world. So we are still confident that IPL games in Mumbai will be held as per schedule with Delhi Capitals playing Chennai Super Kings on April 10 on the second day of the tournament,? he had said.



?But Hyderabad and Indore are there on stand by in case the situation goes out of hand.?

Former Indian cricketer and current Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) President Mohammad Azharuddin has been removed from the decorated position of president following the alleged violations of the rules and regulations.



Moreover, a show-cause notice has been issued to the former cricketer and will remain suspended till the course of the inquiries and allegations.



?After considering the complaints made by the members against you (Azharuddin), it was decided at the Apex Council meeting on the 10th of this month to issue a show-cause notice on the ground that you have acted in violation of the rules. The Apex Council is suspending you and your membership of HCA is being terminated until completion of the inquiry on these complaints," the showcase notice said.

The notice stated that the action against him will be taken if he fails to provide any proper explanations within a week of receiving the show-cause notice.



As per the reports, Azharuddin was secretly associated with a private cricket club based in Dubai. The club participates in the events that is not recognised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and which is against all its rules and regulations.



Azharuddin was elected as the President of Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) in 2019.

Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin has opined that Virat Kohli should have thought of better timing to take a break from ODI cricket. The response came after the reports claimed that Virat Kohli will take a rest for the upcoming ODI series against South Africa.



Of late, the Indian cricket board has been exposed at the receiving end of the Indian ODI captaincy turbulence. The BCCI recently named Rohit Sharma to be the captain of India?s white-ball team.



Now, Virat is only the commander of India?s test team. He relinquished his T20I leadership before the T20 World Cup 2021. The BCCI and selectors wanted a single captain for the white-ball format and hence decided to remove Virat from his ODI roles. Rohit Sharma was selected as the leader of the T20I and ODI.



Recently a few reports claimed that Virat Kohli has informed the BCCI that he will be skipping the upcoming three matches ODI series against South Africa. Kohli wants to celebrate his daughter's first birthday with the family which apparently coincides with the ODI series.



Commenting on the same, Mohad Azharuddin posted a Tweet that read:



"Virat Kohli has informed that he's not available for the ODI series &amp; Rohit Sharma is unavailable for the upcoming test. There is no harm in taking a break but the timing has to be better. This just substantiates speculation about the rift. Neither will be giving up the other form of cricket."

The situation became more volatile as the BCCI, a day earlier, ruled out Rohit Sharma for the upcoming three matches test series against South Africa owing to his hamstring injury. Sources believe that the injury will further rule Rohit out from the ODI matches as well, however, a proper statement on Rohit Sharma?s injury is yet to come.



The BCCI has awarded a maiden test call-up to Gujrat opener Priyank Panchal following the ill-timed injury to Rohit Sharma.

Mohammad Azharuddin, the former Indian skipper, feels Virat Kohli has played a lot of cricket and needs a break for a couple of matches to come back fresh and with a free mind.&nbsp;



?Basically, I feel he has played too much cricket. I know a lot of people are saying that he has had much rest between the international matches. But if you play in IPL, day-in, and day-after, so I think his footwork has become quite lazy. Kohli has just managed to score 119 runs from eight Tata IPL 2022 innings at a concerning average of 17.00. The legendary batter has already recorded two golden ducks in the tournament.



Earlier, former Indian coach Ravi Shastri said that Virat is overcooked and no one deserves a break from cricket more than him.

The former Indian skipper has recently completed his 100 matches without touching a three-figure mark in cricket. The 33 years old cricketer slammed his last century in the Eden Gardens back in November 2019, but since then he has failed miserably to reach a ton.
