Siraj who is playing his second test match at Sydney Cricket Ground provided an early breakthrough to India by dismissing David Warner in just the 4th over of the game. On his debut at Melbourne Cricket Ground, the pacer bowled strictly to the line and lengths according to the field placement. He got 5 scalps on his debut game at MCG.



Mohammad Siraj lost his father late last year when he was in Australia, he chooses not to leave his team and play the games for his country. However, during the first game, a deadly bouncer struck Mohammad Shami?s arm ruling him out of the whole series, opened the doors for 26-years old pacer.



In the second test match, Siraj returned with 2 for 40 and 3 for 37.

In the third Test at Sydney Cricket Ground, Tim Paine has won the toss and opted to bat first. They made two changes, brought in David Warner and Will Pucovski. The latter will make his test debut today.



India too made two changes, brought in opener Rohit Sharma and pacer Navdeep Saini in place of Mayank Agarwal and Umesh Yadav respectively.



Siraj sent David Warner back to dug-out in just 4th over, while the first session was washed out by rain.



Australia was 35/1 in 12.5 overs.

Australia vs India 3rd test match: Team India young pacer Mohammad Siraj was thinking about his late father when he broke out in tears while singing the National Anthem before the start of the third test match at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).



Mohammad Siraj?s father left his family in November when Siraj was with Team India in Australia. The pacer stayed back with the team to fulfill his father?s dream of Siraj playing for India.



After the end of the play of Day 1 at Sydney Cricket Ground, Mohammad Siraj was asked about the emotional moment when he was seen wiping off tears he said: ?Just remembered my father at that time. I was really emotional. He wanted me to see playing Test cricket.



?Wish he could see me playing for India.?

Mohammad Siraj?s Father died late last year when the Australian tour just started. Siraj made his test debut against Australia in the second game at Melbourne Cricket Ground. Siraj was brilliant in his debut game picking a total of 5 wickets and he managed to pick David Warner in the SCG test early on.



<h2>Australia 166/2 at Stump's on Day 1:</h2>



Before the stumps on Day 1, Australia seems to be in a good position at 166/2. Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne are still in the middle with both looking in fine touch. Earlier debutant opener Will Pucovski struck a well-crafted half-century to provide Australia a solid opening stand.



?The wicket is fully flat. There is no movement and the surface is easy to bat on. We did not try much as this is an easy surface. Even the bouncers are not carrying as well it was in the earlier games,? said Siraj



?But Test cricket it is all about patience and we must keep that in mind,? he added.

Australia vs India: After BCCI lodged a complaint against racial abuse in the third day of the Sydney Test. The fourth day witnessed the same when some of the spectators abused Indian young pacer Mohammad Siraj.



The cricketing world erupted as the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground witnessed such an ugly act not once but twice in the span of two days. Australian skipper who was batting at the time of incident joined the Indian huddle who complained of the racial abuse to the on-field umpires.



The play of the 4th day came to the rest for a couple of minutes after Indian young cricketer Mohammad Siraj took the matter to the on-field umpires which resulted in the expulsion of the section of the crowd.



<h2>It was a class act from Paine: Justin Langer</h2>



?Tim Paine was there at the spot. It was good to see him supporting the right thing. He has shown a class act as we all know. Test Cricket is always going to be hard but the feelings between the teams must be good, and we hope that further continues,? Justin Langer said in the statement.



The former Australian batsman showed his utter disappointment after the incident took place in the fourth day of the Sydney Test.



?We all have been witnessing good cricket throughout the limited over cricket and we have seen it through this test series also.



?I previously also mentioned that the whole series will be played with full dignity and maintaining the spirit of cricket and that is what we have seen till now.?



We spoke to Tim during the tea. As the host of the series we never want our visitors to witness such abuse and behaviour from our countrymen. We never wanted our visitors been treated so poorly.



?We were touring England last time and some of our cricketers have seen that before, it does not feel good at all.?



?I was not there, I don?t really know what was the conversation between Paine and the Indians. I think he probably went there to support the Indians and to condone that poor behaviour,? Langer added.



After the incident, the security personnel asked the group of the crowd to leave the ground and the play was continued after that.

Siraj and his senior pacer Jasprit Bumrah were subjected to racial abuse by the crowd on Saturday to which BCCI official lodged a complaint yesterday. The incident has been reported to ICC match referee David Boon who will further take over the issue.



?Siraj was referred to as ?Brown Dog? and ?Big Monkey? both of which are racist slurs. The matter was immediately brought to the notice of on-field umpires. They were constantly abusing Bumrah too,? a BCCI source told PTI on conditions of anonymity.



<h2>Six People booked by the cops of New South Whales:</h2>



During the play of the 4th day, Siraj in 86th over was seen walking to the square-leg umpire from his position of deep before his team-mates and the other umpire joined the huddle.



The play was delayed for close to 7 minutes when the security personnel and New South Whales cops checked the stands from where the racial abuse started.



The cops booked six spectators after speaking to the adjacent crowd. All the six peoples are now in New South Whales custody and taken for further clarity.



Previously, the skipper of Team India Ajinkya Rahane after consulting a few other senior players took the matter to the officials of the match.



?Actually, the players didn?t want to lose focus during the proceedings and decided that the matter would be reported only after the day?s play was over. However, umpires have told us that moment anything of that nature happens, the players should report immediately,? the source added.



Cricket Australia has apologised for the poor behaviour of the crowd and promised to take strict action against the accused.

Australia vs India 4th Test Match: Team India?s fast bowler, Mohammad Siraj once again faced racial abuse amid the Brisbane test by the Gaba crowd. The incident happened earlier twice in Sydney during the third test match after which the section of the crowd was booked by the New South Whales cop.



According to the reports of Sydney Morning Herald, Mohammad Siraj was referred with ?Grub? by the Gaba crowd.



?The guys behind me have been calling ? shouting ? both Washington and Siraj grubs,? Kate, a spectator, was quoted as saying by the newspaper.



The group of spectators just like in Sydney started chanting Grub when Mohammad Siraj was fielding near the ropes. The Indian players who were in the ropes did not pay any attention to the matter.



?It started being targeted at Siraj and it was a chant similar to the SCG one (in which fans sang to the tune of Que Sera, Sera but changed the lyrics to Que Shiraz, Shiraz).



?But this time it was Siraj. I suspect it?s not a coincidence that it?s Siraj being targeted post the SCG stuff,? the spectator told the Australian daily.



As per the report in the Sydney Morning Herald, one of the spectators was seen shouting,? Hey Mohammad Siraj, give us a wave, give us a wave, Siraj, you bloody grub.?



<h2>Washington Sundar too faced the racial abuse:</h2>



Along with Mohammad Siraj, young debutant Washington Sundar was also subjected to the same behaviour from the section of the crowd.



Earlier, in the Sydney Test when the Indian players complained of the abuse, the play was halted for about 10 minutes and the section of the crowd was removed by the security personnel. Taking the matter serious, the BCCI lodged a complaint to the match referee.



Cricket Australia has promised Indian huddle for the hard possible action against the section of the crowd. Australian players were also seen supporting Indian huddle after the incident.



David Warner in his Instagram post apologised to Mohammad Siraj for such a shameless behaviour from the crowd and said Australian team will never condone such people.

Vivo IPL 2021: Former Indian pacer Ashish Nehra hailed the young speedster Mohammad Siraj who is performing brilliantly in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. Nehra reckons that Siraj is more skilful than Mumbai Indians Jasprit Bumrah.



In the recent video posted by Cricbuzz, Ashish Nehra said that the pacer is already having a lot of variations and if he keeps his fitness up to the mark and sharpens his cricketing brain then sky is the limit for him.



?There was talk about a couple of years ago that he used to pick up 5-6 wickets in every match for India A with the red ball? (now he) is a very good all-format bowler. There is no shortage of skill, he has all type of variations. I would in fact say that skill-wise, he is even ahead of Bumrah if you talk of variations,? Nehra said in a video on Cricbuzz.

Harbhajan Singh feels that Siraj has done remarkably well in the last two years and should be kept over Ishant Sharma for this game.



Asked about his final choice of the playing11 for the ICC WTC Final, Singh said Siraj can pip Ishant Sharma.



?If I was the captain, I would go with three pure fast bowlers. In that case, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami pick themselves. In this final, I would like to go with Mohammed Siraj ahead of Ishant Sharma,? Harbhajan told PTI on Thursday.



?Ishant is a brilliant bowler but for this game, my choice is Siraj, who has shown remarkable improvement in the last two year



The 40-years old former spinner states that the player's current form should be taken into account. Ishant Sharma has tons of experience in the longest format, but Siraj is in a well-maintained form of his life and has scalped a fifer in Brisbane when the situations were against the Indians.



?You have to look at present scenario. Siraj?s form, pace and confidence makes him a better choice for this final match. The kind of form he is in last six months, he looks like a bowler who is hungry for his chances. According to the tweets from BCCI, Wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant scored an unbeaten century in the simulation while Shubman Gill scored 85 runs and Ravindra Jadeja amassed an unbeaten 54.



Talking about the bowlers, Ishant Sharma and Mohammad Siraj were two pacers who picked wickets. The former picked three wickets while the latter scalped two.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday revealed the actual prize money for the finals.&nbsp;In the press release from ICC, the winner of the final will receive a whopping 1.6 Million USD while the runner up will get $800,000.&nbsp;
