The 53 members squad of the Pakistan Squad tested negative in the fifth round of the Covid-19 test conducted by the New Zealand Health Team. After the fresh round of rapid antigen test, touring Pakistan will be allowed to train, leaving the managed isolation on Tuesday.



However, the training and leaving the isolation will be subjected to New Zealand?s Health Ministry?s clearance, said New Zealand Cricket on Monday.



Five squad members of the visitor?s side tested positive after coming to New Zealand while two more people tested positive afterward. Pakistan team was denied to train while in the isolation period due to ranging Covid spread.



A total of eight members from Pakistan were affected by the novel coronavirus during the time.

?This is to advise the Pakistan squad?s fifth and final day 12, Covid-19 tests have all been returned as negative,? NZC said in a statement.



?As an outcome, and pending Health Ministry approval, they (Pakistan squad) will leave the managed isolation on Tuesday and continue their training. The squad will fly to Queenstown, where they will train for the upcoming series against Kiwis.?



Pakistan was scheduled to play 3 T20Is with the home team starting December 18 followed by 2 Test games starting December 26.



?The members who were tested positive on Day 6 of the arrival to New Zealand will have to keep themselves in the managed isolation. They will be allowed to train after they get a green signal from the health ministry.?



?Also, the peoples from touring squad who were taken into quarantine in Auckland, New Zealand after coming from Dubai will be allowed to leave the isolation and train for the series along with other members.?



However, the head coach of the Pakistan Cricket Team has expressed his resentment, he said not being able to train while in isolation will affect the team?s performance.

Pakistani Squad allowed to start training after getting released from Isolation.



After a compulsory managed isolation, the Pakistani Squad is allowed to start training after getting released from the isolation. New Zealand health ministry on Tuesday gave a green signal to the touring party to leave the managed isolation and start training for the three games T20Is and two test games.



After several rounds of Covid tests, the ministry finally on the 12th day of their 14-days isolation released them. They returned negative on the subsequent tests. Pakistani Squad will be moving to The South Island of Queenstown for their group training for the upcoming games against the Black Caps.



New Zealand health authorities revoked the exemption from training in the smaller group after the third day of managed isolation when players were seen mingling in the corridors and sharing food. The home side party punished the players for breaching the safety protocols in the country.

Along with the serious warning, New Zealand exempted Pakistani Players from training. Six members from the visiting side tested positive just after reaching the destination while two others returned positive after a few other rounds of tests. All the positive players were shifted to the quarantine wing of the hotel soon after the news was confirmed.



?One Cricketer will remain in the isolation in Christchurch as he is not yet fully recovered from the virus,? New Zealand Health Ministry.



?The other person will be released from the Auckland Quarantine facility today, he repeatedly tested negative for the virus after arriving here from Dubai. For the precautions, they were put in the isolations.?

Babar Azam ruled out: Pakistan?s skipper Babar Azam suffered a thumb fracture during the practice session before the start of the tour. He is now ruled out of the whole T20I series against New Zealand.



Azam injured his right thumb while practicing in the nets on Sunday creating a hole in the lineup. The batting powerhouse would be out of the game for at least 12 days.



The Pakistan Cricket Board on Sunday said, Babar Azam now faces the race with the time to get fit for the upcoming test event against New Zealand. We hope he recovers in time for the first test game.

Ros Taylor Becomes most capped player for New Zealand across formats.



New Zealand vs Pakistan: New Zealand?s senior batsman Ros Taylor on Saturday becomes the most capped player in the history of New Zealand?s cricket. Taylor achieved this feat while walking to bat against Pakistan in the first test match at Bay Oval on 26th December.



Ros Taylor?s appearance on the first test match against Pakistan was his 438th match leaving behind former New Zealand cricketer Daniel Vettori.



New Zealand cricket tweeted this feat saying: "Out comes @RossLTaylor, now New Zealand's most capped player across all three formats with 438* matches.?

Before Ros Taylor?s record, Daniel Vettori held the record of playing most games for New Zealand. Vettori across all formats featured in 437 games.



The number three on the list of most appearances is Brendon McCullum with 432 outings followed by Stephen Fleming with 395 games under his belt.



<h2>New Zealand's innings:</h2>



The start to New Zealand vs Pakistan test match did not go well as the opener Tom Latham was dismissed by Shaheen Afridi in the opening over itself.



Afridi took another scalp to send Tom Bundell back to the pavilion in the 11th over.



Ros Taylor took the field and scored a brilliant half-century before getting dismissed. Taylor smashed 70 runs with 10 fours and a six in his innings.



While skipper Kane Williamson is still standing strong at the crease.

New Zealand vs Pakistan 1st Test: Young pacer who put up a brilliant show on the first day of the Boxing Day Test against New Zealand must be saddened after plenty of mischances.?



Shaheen Afridi after the end of the play of Day1 feels frustrated due to the number of missed chances in the field as well as by the straightforward LBW.



The stand-in skipper Mohammad Rizwan opened up well winning the toss and opting to field first. The speedster Shaheen Afridi started his spell with two wickets in quick succession. Afridi removed Tom Latham and Tom Bundell cheaply sending New Zealand into backfoot.



However, Pakistan could not manage to pick one more wicket the whole day. Afridi made few chances where wickets would fall but Pakistani fielders dropped chcnces.



"We did try to get wickets early on with new balls and took two wickets but if you don't take catches it will be difficult," Afridi said.



A brilliant parternership of 120 runs came to end after Shaheen Afridi removed Ros Taylor who became the most capped player across format for New Zealand.&nbsp;



New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson and Henry Nicolls ensured a another good parternership of unbeaten 89 runs to end the play of Day 1.



<h2>Dropped Chances :</h2>



Before the end of the Day, Williamson and Nicholls both were given lives. Williamson was dropped twice in the slips by Shan Masood and Haris Sohail - off Naseem Shah and Afridi respectively, while Henry Nicholls was also given a chance.



To put salt in the wounds, Pakistani skipper Mohammad Rizwan did not take a simple LBW review to get rid of New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson off Shaheen Afridi. A well-directed yorker hit the pads of Williamson which would eventually hit the off stumps.



"They batted hard but I am 100% frustrated by the dropped catches. It's disappointing when you drop catches, and we didn't take the review (on Williamson)," Afridi said.



"It's a part of the game but if you need to win matches you have to take catches and have to improve the fielding. They know how to play in their conditions so it is tough, but the ball is still new and tomorrow we will come hard to take wickets as early as possible."



As the Day 1 of the first test ended, New Zealand closes on 222 for 3 wickets, and Kane Williamson who is six runs short of his 23rd Test Ton while Henry Nicholls as his partner.
