Pakistan Tour of Australia 2023-24 Schedule, Timing, and Venue Details: For a long time, the Pakistani side has performed well in ODI and T20 series. However, the squad plays the majority of its games at its home ground, which gives them an advantage. The Pakistan Cricket Board is sending Pakistan on a tour to Australia in the last month of this year with the third World Test Championship in mind. Australia and Pakistan will play a total of three Test matches (Benaud-Qadir Trophy).



At various cricket grounds in Australia, all three of the test matches will be played. Perth Cricket Stadium will host the first Test match, Melbourne Cricket Stadium will host the second Test match, and Sydney Cricket Ground will host the third and final Test match.

Babar Azam, a right-handed batsman, will lead the Pakistani team. Azam will lead Pakistan as a captain for the first time for the Australia tour. Before that as a player, he has twice visited Australia. First, he visited Australia in 2016 while Misbah-ul-Haq was captain, and again in 2019 under the captaincy of Azhar Ali.

Australia vs Pakistan, 3rd Test: The last match of the ongoing three-match Test series between Australia and Pakistan will be played on Wednesday at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The Kangaroo team is leading 2-0 in the series; the home team has registered consecutive wins in Perth and Melbourne, and now the entire team would like to bid farewell to David Warner by winning the last test also

The second test match was played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, where the Australian team won by 79 runs. Pakistan's new captain, Shan Masood, won the toss and invited the Australian team to bat first. While electing to bat first, the Australian team scored 318 runs in the first inning, while in reply, Pakistan was all out for 264 runs. The Kangaroo team scored 262 runs in the second inning. They won the series by all-out Pakistan for 237 runs in the second inning.

AUS vs PAK: Australian opening batter David Warner is all set for his last swansong at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) as we head to the New Year Test between Australia and Pakistan next week. The southpaw, earlier, wished to make his final test appearance at his home ground at the SCG.



Australia will be taking on Pakistan in the third of the three-game test series at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), starting January 03. An unchanged set of 13 players have been named by the Cricket Australia (CA) for the final assignment against Pakistan.



David Warner walked into the ongoing test series against Pakistan with a few question marks over his form in the red ball cricket. Moreover, Cricket Australia's decision to name Warner into the test squad was scrutinised by many experts. 



Proving everyone wrong who even had a shadow of doubt over his form, David Warner notched up a match-winning 164-run knock in the first test at the Perth Stadium. Owing to his sensational innings, along with the efforts of other players, Australia won the Perth test by a massive 360 runs.



Warner scored 38 and 06 in the two innings of the second test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Australia has already clinched the three-game Test series against Pakistan by winning the first two games convincingly. The Aussies supplemented the 360-run defeat and handed another 79-run defeat to Pakistan at the MCG in the second test.



With an unassailable 2-0 lead, Australia now walk into the third test with their heads high and no pressure at all. The third test begins at the SCG on January 03.



Talking about David Warner's 12-year-long test career, the batter has managed to muster 8695 runs in 111 test games so far at an impressive average of 44.58. The southpaw has batted with a fantastic strike rate of 70 throughout his career, making him one of the most dangerous batters in the red-ball space. To add more to his decorated cap, Warner has notched up 26 centuries and 36 fifties during his illustrious test career.

AUS vs PAK: Pakistan Playing11: Pakistan has already announced its playing11 for the upcoming 3rd test against Australia on the eve of the New Year test. As per the announced team sheet, Pakistan has decided to rest the premier pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi for the fixture, which begins on January 03 at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).



Along with Shaheen Shah Afridi, opening batter Imam ul Haq has also been benched for the 3rd test following three consecutive low scores. 



It's worth noting that Imam played a 62-run knock in the first innings of the opening test at the Perth Stadium, however, his subsequent outings have turned meek and disappointing.



To replace Imam ul Haq, Pakistan has brought in 21-year-old opener Saim Ayub, who will make his debut at the SCG. Ayub has a decent record in List A and FC cricket. He has featured in 8 T20Is so far and has showcased his prowess to play with intent.



In another change, Sajid Khan will replace Shaheen Shah Afridi in Pakistan's playing11 for the 3rd test against Australia. Though he was benched in the first two games, he will get his chance to prove his worth in the Sydney Test.



The remaining combination of the squad has been retained by Pakistan. Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique will be the two designated openers followed by captain Shan Masood and senior batter Babar Azam in the pecking order.



Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha will form the rest of the middle order. Meanwhile, the bowling department will be handled by Sajid Khan, Hasan Ali, Ali Hamza and Amer Jamal respectively.



Pakistan has already lost the three-game test series against Australia by losing the first two games held at the Perth and MCG. While they lost the first contest by 360 runs, the second test went in the host's favour by 79 runs. While Australia will aim for a clean sweep, Pakistan's bet would be to avoid it anyhow.

<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Kirsten">Gary Kirsten</a> has been reported to have submitted his resignation to the PCB, thus resigning from his role as limited-overs coach for the Pakistan team. Kirsten term with the Pakistan team didn?t last for even six months as he was appointed back in April 2024. This decision was reportedly made by Kirsten after having a disagreement with the Pakistan Cricket Board. Sighting his splendid record Kirsten urged for hiring Reid in a coaching role, however, the plea was totally rejected by PCB as they rather suggested other options for the position which did not land well with Kirsten.

Gillespie has also been in some sort of tiff with the PCB regarding their mismanagement and lack of priority for the opinions of the coaches.
