The English Cricket Board and the Wales Cricket Board went on to have a joint venture when they started the Royal London One-Day Cup, which replaced the previously held ECB 40. For now, the 18 teams across the nations play in the tournament. Yuzvendra Chahal, the Indian leg-spinning maestro, was once one of India?s leading spin-bowling options across the formats of white-ball cricket, though he yet remains barred from playing red-ball cricket for the nation. Chahal has picked 121 ODI wickets in 72 appearances for the nation, while he also picked 96 wickets over 80 games played in the shortest format of the game.

 In last year?s County Championship, where Chahal played 2 games for the first ever time in England, he put on his brilliance, as he picked 9 wickets in 2 matches he played. This time, however, Yuzvendra Chahal was much in the buzz for making his debut in England?s limited overs championship. Chahal joined the <a href="https://www.espncricinfo.com/team/northamptonshire-1221">Northamptonshire</a> side for their final group-stage match in the London One-Day Cup against Kent. The Northamptonshire have not been in very good touch, as they are last in the points table from Group A. Chahal, 34, who now joined the team in Canterbury, went on to star in his very debut game. Chahal startled all, as he ended with amazing stats of 10 overs, 14 runs, and 5 wickets, also having bowled 5 maidens in the game.

 After this match, he will also be seen with the side in the County Championship for their next 5 games. This has been seen as a chance ahead for the 34-year-old to make a return to red-ball cricket and probably also fancy his chances of featuring for India in the longest format during the end of his career.

The Chennai Super Kings skipper in the IPL, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruturaj_Gaikwad" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ruturaj Gaikwad</a>, has landed a contract with <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yorkshire_County_Cricket_Club">Yorkshire</a> in the ongoing English domestic season in 2025. He will join the County Championship for the game against Surrey, which is scheduled to begin on July 22.
The right-handed batter is not only set to star in the County Championship but will also follow with starring in the One Day Cup as well. This development followed India A's move to England, which also includes Ruturaj Gaikwad. 
The 28-year-old batter is part of the India A Squad, though he has been out of any form of competitive cricket for the last two months as he was out with an elbow injury. He is expected to star against India on the 13th of June, as Team India and India A are expected to play a friendly match in Beckenham.

<h3>1. Sachin Tendulkar [1992]</h3>

Overall, the master batter has 1671 runs in 35 matches across all formats, including two centuries.  
<h3>2. Yuvraj Singh [2003] </h3>
The second Indian to have made his impact in English county cricket, playing for Yorkshire. Known as one of the greatest white-ball batters for India, Yuvraj played for Yorkshire in 2003, though he had a terribly bad season in the county as well as the National Cricket League. 
His only prominent stint came in the Twenty20 Cup for Yorkshire, though his experience in England seemed a forgettable stint in his career. 
<h3>3. Cheteshwar Pujara [2015 &amp; 2018]</h3>

Another legendary batter when it comes to Test cricket, Cheteshwar Pujara, has played for four different County teams in his career. He made his debut back in 2014. He first starred for Derbyshire and then played for Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, and Sussex from 2022 to 2024, his best seasons in the county.
 Pujara has starred for several County sides and piled on runs, though he has seen some significant dips in form at times as well; however, his best season with Yorkshire came in 2015, as he was part of their third title-winning side. 
However, Pujara's success has been inevitable with the bat while he starred in a full season for Sussex. Pujara has scored an amazing 21,301 runs in his first-class career.
