India Cricket Team fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will be getting the Men's Cricketer of the Year award during the BCCI annual awards. The BCCI Naman Annual Awards are all set to take place in Mumbai on Saturday (1st February). 
Jasprit Bumrah will be receiving the prestigious award because of his exceptional performance with the ball in 2024. He was Player of the Tournament in the T20 World Cup 2024, where he picked up 15 wickets, and also was the leading wicket-taker in Tests with 71 wickets to his name. 
Another holder of the major award will be India Women's cricketer Smriti Mandhana, who will be getting the BCCI's Women's Cricketer of the Year award. The opening batter was at her best with the bat as she mustered over 700 runs in ODIs in 2024 and was the leading run-getter for the team. 
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also will be honouring Ravichandran Ashwin with a special award. The off-spinner recently retired from international cricket and ended his career as one of the best players for the India Cricket Team. 
The best debut of the year award will be going to India batter Sarfaraz Khan for his heroics in his maiden game for India. He played his first match against England in the Test series and slammed a terrific half-century, and following that, he has been a consistent member of the team. Former India wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik is having a great time in the ongoing SA20 2025 for the Paarl Royals. The wicketkeeper batter played his best innings in the tournament on Thursday (30th January) against Joburg Super Kings at The Wanderers Stadium, in Johannesburg. 
Dinesh Karthik had a great outing with the bat for his team and helped his team post a fighting total on the board. The keeper-batter slammed a magnificent half-century and entertained the crowd both in South Africa as well as back home in India with his power-hitting. 
The highlight of Dinesh Karthik's innings was the three sixes that he hit on three balls against Wihan Lubbe in Paarl Royals' 13th over. He hit the first six on a free hit as he went down on the knees and hit a slog sweep into the deep mid-wicket stands for a massive six. 
On the next ball, Lubbe bowled a short ball, which Dinesh Karthik made full use of. He pulled the ball over deep square leg for his second consecutive six and put the spinner under pressure. Then on the next ball, the keeper-batter again was on his knees and played a slog sweep, which went over mid-wicket into the crowd.

Dinesh Karthik played a sensational innings of 53 runs off 39 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 135 and also slammed 4 fours and 3 sixes in his innings. Thanks to his effort with the bat, Paarl Royals posted a fighting total of 150 runs on the board. 
His effort, however, went in vain as Joburg Super Kings chased the target with 7 wickets in hand. Faf du Plessis was the star with the bat for his team as he played an innings of 87 runs off 55 balls. He batted with a strike rate of 158 and slammed 4 fours and 7 sixes to take his team home.

Right-arm medium-fast bowler Himanshu Sangwan is a 29-year-old cricketer who was born on September 2, 1995, in Delhi, India. The Delhi-born cricketer represents the Railways team in domestic cricket. Sangwan made his List A debut on September 27, 2019, in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, followed by his T20 debut on November 8, 2019, in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He is an Indian cricketer who has made a name for himself in domestic cricket with his impressive bowling. 
He idolizes Australian fast-bowling legend Glenn McGrath and credits him for refining his bowling skills, particularly in seam positioning, as he claims to have learned all by observing the former great.
